That sounds good. This is the code I put in to make a button linking here. <a href="http://www.dleithonline.proboards101.com/index.cgi" target="_blank"><img src="THE IMAGE LOCATION URL OF YOUR BUTTON"></a> where THE IMAGE LOCATION URL OF YOUR BUTTON is the link from your photobucket to the button you wish to use. You just need to use the html tag from your photobucket account Here's mine if anyone wants to use it or just get one from the Graphics section of this forum - but please put it in your own photobucket first, that's the only key thing to remember whoever's banner you wish to use

Yes, I have the link to here in my myspace, official forum in my sig and anywhere else I can put it!
It is unfortunate about our URL, but we just cant change it without starting again..sorry!
Agree with all the others that a redirect with word tags could be the easiest way to go.
I have also registered us with Google some months ago, but as stated, its links from other sites that pushes our ranking up.

I've sought to register a very obvious site, just waiting to hear back from Melbourne IT. Assuming it comes good, I'll set up a redirect here.

Great stuff ozlander & Dede! Meta-tags, that was what I was trying to think of - if we can get them into it somehow then they pop up at google.

#2 In order to assist the google robot, perhaps an additive to the source code such as in meta tags, which includes the robot txt Great idea. This will take me a little uninterrupted time, hard at internet cafes...but I think I can do it within the week. And excuse me for using this thread as a notepad, but I just found the code and need to post it somewhere for easy reference: Into bottom of headers: <head> <title>The Name of Your Site/Forum</title> <meta name="description" content="Short Description Of Your Site/Forum"> <meta name="keywords" content="Add Keywords Here Separated By A Coma, For Example; photoshop, paint shop pro, graphics, design, avatars, banners, custom"> </head> Note to self: dont use the same keyword twice, mix it up on all the boards. Google doesnt use the keyword tag. alternate code: <html> <head> <title>bla bla bla</title> <meta name="verify-v1" content="bla bla" /> </head> in global header.

Just found out an interesting piece of info...
as of not so long ago, we can now have our own domain for this forum...anything we want.
We have to purchase the domain independently, then pay $14 a year to proboards to have it changed over. Additional domains to this board cost an extra $7 per domain (for example you could have damienleithfanforum.com, damienleithonline.com etc, and all would lead you here). Our current URL still remains active and useable too. I think all these dollar figures are US dollars....but unsure.
btw, this is more of a vanity thing...easier to remember and "market"...its not going to improve our google ranking or making searching for us any easier.
