OK, I'm on it gj! (Although I'd rather be a backup singer and just sway a bit on the spot ;D) Also, who was the gum chewing vocalist sharing the mike with the yummy Mr Springsteen? Shades of Jimmy Smits in his looks. And, while you lot are at it, the hairy faced guitarist on the other mike?

Ok, I'm with Myst. All of his songs would be great. But my list would be 16 Candles Bye Bye Love Only the Lonely Love Hurts She Wears My Ring Your Cheatin Heart Only You Not too greedy is it. And I don't think I would be in the back up singing group,, not a good voice for that. I could be there in between songs to wipe the sweat away though. Don't mind that at all

Great choices Bella and I lurrrrrve I Drove All Night. I think Damien would relate to that song after all the recent driving from one gig to another in the middle of the night! I still shudder when I think of Damien, Darren and the guys driving from Canberra to Sydney and heading into atrocious weather.

OMG Mysterri, so do I, everyone on the forum that night when we heard about that from the Canberra backstage was pacing (and/or praying) about their safety. I got pretty excited when I heard Damien mention maybe singing more Orbison songs too - wow! I wonder if it really is one of those little hints he throws our way sometimes. Teh Intrigue! I'm not a fan of some of the retro things that we've been seeing on the market lately (except Guy, as he seems to have found a real niche that he loves). I'm sure if Damien ever did a project like this he would do it with real sincerity and flair - his covers have never ever seemed like pastiche and have definitely added to the appreciation of the original.

It's Over would also be a great song for Damien to cover.

She's A Mystery To Me.. I love that song! I think D would do a great version of it. My dad had a tape in our car years ago that he used to play all the time and It's Over was one of the songs on it. So that song reminds me of my childhood.. I'd love for D to sing it

Okay, so the essential Orbison songs would be:
In dreams Only the lonely Pretty woman It's over In the real world You got it and you could even include Blue Bayou.
Just never ever even consider Ooby Dooby. The horror the horror
