Does anyone know what song Damien will be singing as his showcase song in the Opera House before the big announcement? I'd assume it would be one of the touchdown songs, but there were four of them so the choice isn't so easy!
Some would say the obvious choice would be Nessum Dorma, but I'd love to hear the full versions of either Crying or Hallelujah. Nessum Dorma was *brilliant*, but it's still fresh to us. Bring back one of the oldies, I say!

I would personally love to hear the full Hallelujah. It would be nice for Damien to get to do Nessun Dorma there... but I think they would have arranged the final song a while back and opera might be a bit much for him with everything else he needs to do. I think it will probably be out of Crying and Hallelujah - maybe Crying because it's a 'bigger' song?

Yeah, Crying is the one that got him international attention, so it'll probably be on the program. It'd be great if he could perform one of his own songs. Can anyone else imagine him on stage behind the piano?
Do the final two do a duet or something? What do you think the chances are that D and Jess will do one? I think it would be great to hear them.

If I remember, the final 2 do some kind of duet after each of the others of the top 12 have sung a bit? I'm not sure if it'll be a whole song but it'll be something. I'm really looking forward to that part of the night too.

I suspect that poster is on a lot of people's walls at the moment. ;D My pirate poster is still sitting on the desk beside me. I tried to stick him temporarily on the wall beside the computer to inspire me... but he didn't like it there and jumped off after about five minutes. And, well... I'm not one to argue with a pirate, so he's getting a better location just as soon as I can find some proper tape. *cannot believe she is ranting about a poster as though it is a real human being* In my defence... no, I don't really need one do I? ;D EDIT: Aw man, that was so on topic of me, wasn't it?  *watches as pirate poster ambushes thread and steals all its gold* |

I'm pretty sure it's gonna be crying. It's more emotional and 'big' (and it seems that most of us want to hear the full version given the fact that what he did on Idol was too short). I don't think it will be hallelujah since he's done it twice already

I remember that bit! Bartok is cute! While I think of it, what was the top 12 song this year? I know they usually have a group song - the only one one I can remember is that one "Are You Ready?" or whatever it's called from either last year or the year before...I can't remember... and I can't remember what this year's was, if there was one. Anyone younger than me here recall hearing it? |
