So here's how I saw it. I was busy doing nothing, when I got a text from a neighbour of mine  . Damien's name had been heard on the Irish TV channel Pop programme along with Night of My Life and Australian Idol. I quickly switched channel, couldn't understand a word of it (I didn't study Irish at school) but did get his name, NOML and Australian Idol. Texts were quickly sent to others to tune in. Watched as the charts were scrolled through, NOML No 10 and they played just a snippit of the video. Some of us were disappointed thinking that was all we would see but seeing as he was the subject of a text competition I was sure we would hear the song again. Jesus, sure enough the programme played out with NOML!! It can only be onwards and up to No1 from here. |

Noeleen your report makes it feel like we were right there beside you, madly flicking channels! It is a comfort to know we would have understood as much of what was being said as you, even though it is on the other side of the world!

This is great news Noeleen! Love the idea of the flurry of text messages...ah technology. Lucky we're not in the days of sending messages via carrier pigeons or nobody would ever see any D action!

Great spotting Noeleen. gee it is good to be doing nothing isn't it? I haven't had time to do nothing any more because my nothing time and cleaning, washing, cooking, sleeping etc time is taken up here. hehe. Congratulations to the Irish Damienites for your hard work. Now you need to flood the TV station with requests for more viewing of the video. Does it ever stop??? No ! Well, someone else spotted it and let me know but I got texts out to the others on time to see the video. Busy doing nothing actually meant I was catching up with the cleaning, washing, cooking etc because I spend so much time here!!! |

This is great news Noeleen and thanks so much for letting us know! I'm sure the video of NOML will help boost it up the charts even more. I've also been plugging Come To Me on the B side in the hope that the Irish radio stations will play it as well. I would love that to go to # 1 in Ireland (and Australia for that matter ;D). |
