It gives an up and coming artist a chance to get more exposure and probably to a bigger crowd that they would normally play to. To allow for people to arrive late and not miss the main act. To know that the main act has 'moved up' in the celebrity status.

Yay braffy.... it is good that he does have a support act for those exact reasons and he does also support The Live Room himself...as well. So we should support all up and coming Aussie groups or singers... I have a very big..heart....to go with the rest of me....lol

For PERTH I would love to hear Creep!! (leather pants welcome as well!!) Just to add to my list: Any chance of singing Danny Boy for my mum who will be there for the matinee performance?? Also, I didn't write down Hallelujah, Crying or Wicked Game because I just assume that you will sing those ones, as well as all the ones off your new album!!

Judging by the advertising for the tour, Damien will be singing the songs from WWL as well as some of the favourites from TWJ. If he's open to suggestions I would also love to hear him sing the following songs. She's a Mystery to Me - Written by Bono, performed by Roy Orbison. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VpaNZ8iJZs I acquired my screen name Mysterri due to this song. DH sings along to it but changes the words to "she's a myst Terri girl to me." I Drove All Night - Roy Orbison. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uT5KOd_x7loI just love this song for reasons I'm not going to reveal here. Come Said The Boy - Ross Wilson/Mondo Rock. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gujdbZ1csngThis is another all time favourite of mine and even though the lyrics are about first love and such, the music is very sensual and I can just imagine Damien singing this with that gorgeous stare happening.

I'll add mine here too, as no doubt I'll be struck dumb on the night and can't call out loud enough anyway even if I can think straight Damien, I would LOVE to hear you sing ANY (or even all! ) of these Judging by the advertising for the tour, Damien will be singing the songs from WWL as well as some of the favourites from TWJ. If he's open to suggestions I would also love to hear him sing the following songs. SHE'S A MYSTERY TO ME - Written by Bono, performed by Roy Orbison. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VpaNZ8iJZs OMG I may not survive if Damien sings SHE'S A MYSTERY TO ME, (though am prepared to take the risk ) I love it!!!! Wow - yes I will chime in and request that one, too Ps Mysterri, I love the story you told with that one! Oh, well - CREEP! - Swoon City will erupt if you sing it, Damien, and I may well keel over, but again, I'll take my chances One of my all time favs, and I would love to hear you sing it live! I'll just add some that aren't on the albums just in case you might be consdering these THE BLOWER'S DAUGHTER - Wow - that was something else at the St Pat's concert! here are some more WHEN I FALL IN LOVE like at the Up close and Musical and LILAC WINE or EVERYBODY HERE WANTS YOU like at the JBT Well, any one of these would have me in the advanced nirvana eclipse - would love any of them, Damien

I second the original Beautiful! You can release it as a single while you're at it! I also second Creep, and the leather pants (or the red jeans, whichever Damien prefers ) I'd love to hear These Days if possible, and the INXS cover he did on the radio! And either Fool or Who You Are, preferably the latter! If two of the Leith brothers are on tour, this is mandatory, Darren is a brilliant drummer on the B-side! And Everybody Here Wants You! We need rock! Alternatively, Cold Cold Heart or the Long Way Back will suffice. If Tomorrow Never Comes would be great at Newcastle, it's my mum's favourite on TWJ, I was thinking of her when it was performed in Sydney last time ;D

there's a song written by Bono and performed by Roy Orbison?! Yep Hyperrune there is. If you go to the link above and have a look on the right hand side, you'll see the link to Bono talking about the song and his very uncanny meeting with Roy Orbison.
