Ozbrat asked Damien tonight when she was backstage why he is not promoting the CD during the concerts (he doesn't even mention that there is a Christmas one coming out). He replied that he doesn't want to ask people to spend more money when they have already bought tickets.
He has the 1st copy of the Christmas edition.

Aw, God love him. People will buy the Christmas edition of the album if they want it. There are plenty of people around with disposable incomes and even those that don't will treat themselves.

It is bad enough that he doesn't have any merchandise for sale (I didn't even see the programme tonight) but he doesn't even MENTION that it is coming out. People could then make up their own minds if they want to buy it, but they need to KNOW about it first.

Yeah it's a bit of a shame there is no merchandise to buy.
I agree also that the Christmas album should at least be mentioned, ppl need to know about it and then make their own decision whether to buy it or not. for sure!

They were selling the program last night - it was sitting on a table with the Live Room stuff but not being promoted at all  . And I agree - Damien you should mention the Xmas CD - I'm sure there would be plenty of people who went last night who would love to buy it  |

Damien promote the Christmas album even if its just a bit, people need to know about it.

Well if he won't promote it, it looks like we might need to... *imagines a group of Damienites doing a Chaser-style drop of a massive promotional billboard outside the doors of all future concert halls*  Seriously though, he is too nice for his own good. |

I think having merchandise at a concert is for some people, a bit like show bags at the Easter Show. It's all part of the event to come home with something new as a momento too. |

I'm getting a bit fed up with the lack of advertising and promotion for Damien's current tour as well as the total lack of support by radio stations around the country for his album and current single! All I've heard on my local (hick) radio station over the last week is Delta Goodrem and that f**kwit Missy Higgins.  Geejus, give me strength! Anyway back to my point. What happens when Damien hands over the AI tiara in two weeks? Is he still managed by Caplice Management or is he out on his own. Eileen, where are you? I really do think that the beautiful Eileen could manage and promote Damien (as she's done in the past) very successfully and I'm sure we Damienites are only too happy to help wherever we can. |

We discussed in Sydney we thought it was three years with both. But yes when he is ready he has a ready made force to assist when required. |

We think Sony may be number of albums rather than years but not sure |

I think having merchandise at a concert is for some people, a bit like show bags at the Easter Show. It's all part of the event to come home with something new as a momento too.
