UPDATE/MODFIED POST 22/1/07
Channel Ten will air the Australia Day Live Concert on Thursday 25 January 2007, including Damien singing on the occasion of obtaining his Australian citizenship.
Earlier press reports that there would be a Sunday night special are incorrect.

 This is fantastic news! It'll be like old times, sitting down to watch Damien on a Sunday night only this will be so much better, no judges, no distractions just that new Aussie bloke Damien Leith. ;D

Question: is Channel 10 doing some sort of TV special, featuring Damien's trip to Ireland, highlights of his activities after winning Idol, the citizenship ceremony, Damien singing some songs etc? Maybe this is what is going to air on January 28?  |

Yes, I'm leaning towards thinking this is some general TV special too. I'm assuming that his actual ceremony is Australia Day - it'd be silly not to have it then when they're making such a big thing of it - and we know they were filming Damien in Ireland, so why wouldn't they use it for this?

*squee* It might be a post Idol special from winning to citizinship. When we went to see him at Blacktown the Idol crew were there filming and they interviewed Wombat. They also filmed me holding the sign I am a Damienite and bloody proud of it. If we haven't hit the cutting room floor *wonders what that sharp object was* then maybe you will see one or both of us.
