Oh, this is great! I don't think I've ever been in St Mary's but it is just beautiful from the outside. Will be lovely to hear Damien in that sort of environment. Is this appearance mostly about him I wonder, or will there be a lot of other performers? Either way I'll be happy to see even a few songs. I'm so grateful for the tickets by the way, GJ. I've been out all day and would have had trouble arranging things myself. It'll be great to see you there.

Kami - Damien said it was to be an acoustic set - so think it may just be him and different from Idol gigs.......

I'm so glad to finally hear news about this one. Thanks so much for organising tickets gj. I guess it will be a shorter set though, if it's 90 minutes with interval and there is someone else performing too.

Yeah Shims - acoustic and in a church - I'm still trying to get my head around it. I really hope that filming is permitted and possible without disrupting anyone. I have a big enough memory card that I could probably film Damien's entire set.

Yes - and what good publicity for Damien too! I can't wait to see if this little charity event makes the local news. www.cary.com.au/ - Cary Lewincamp's site if anyone wants to know more about him. After checking out the samples on the site I am really looking forward to seeing him.

OMG! They just had the most awesome advertisement for this on Southern Cross - they showed the cathedral backed by audio of Damien singing Hallelujah and Nessun Dorma... ...I squealed. A lot. It was right after the Idol auditions plug too...
