Mrs L caught everyone in a pajama party once! She's read worse, I'm sure! Jarvis is ADORABLE! My mum and I were ohhing and ahhing over him! What a little charmer! It was great to see D and Eileen back in Dublin, it was nice to see her get some screen time. Seeing Damien at hme, you can tell how much the place means to him. It was great to see that And I completely lost it at the first footage of the KILT!!! I think the whole street heard me yell "oh, no!!!!" Love the buckles on it - so stylish!

BTW I taped the whole thing, reception was dodgy but got all of it including commercials, 23 minutes Only problem is, it's way too big to upload, and editing it makes it speed up in random places However, I have burnt a copy to disc, and that disc can be multiplied and distributed

Well I'm just purring with contentment! What a great show and 3/4 of it was devoted to Damien. He is pure class with an earthy humility that is so adorable. I was totally mesmerized by him and I really wish that he had his own show! The stand outs for me tonight were Damien's face when he was announced winner of Australian Idol - absolutely beautiful! Damien and his father Paul hugging, that brought tears to my eyes! Jarvis looking at Daddy on the laptop screen and then looking behind the screen to see what else he could see - so cute! Damien meeting his family at the airport - yep I was crying again and isn't Aine absolutely stunning? Everyone meeting at the Milltown Inn and having a singalong. It would have been absolutely wonderful to be there and join in to toast Damien's success. To hear Angela, Paul and everyone else singing along with Damien was pure bliss and I would truly have loved to be there. What really touched my heart was Damien and Eileen wandering through the streets of Dublin and hearing Damien say its a very romantic city and later seeing them smooch at the bar as the camera slowly faded away. That was pure magic. I felt so proud when I saw Angela telling the two ladies outside the airport that Damien was the winner of Australian Idol. Such motherly pride and Angela is so gorgeous. Now we know where Damien gets it from. ;D The latter 15 minutes of the show left me wanting more of Damien and we did see snippets of him but not nearly enough! Jess is as cute as ever, Bobby is a fascinating guy, Dean Geyer leaves me cold! His new single is woeful! That's just my opinion and I don't want to upset and DG fans. Damien, we want more!

When Mrs L was at the airport my mum laughed and said 'Don't you love mothers?' I loved the use of slow-mo when Damien was announced the winner - that expression was classic! ;D

Oh that airport scene was so gorgeous. Seriously I have NO HOPE of picking favourite parts of this show. I just love how Damien looked like he was walking on air taking Eils back to their romantic spots when they first went out. And seeing everyone so joyous at home playing music and being reunited. The whole show was just so wonderful.

ahhhh......*satisfied sigh*...wasn't that the most FABULOUS hour? After the way they promoted it, I was expecting about 10 minutes max on Damien, but then...BONUS! I was at a friends place, and we watched it on their DVD projector screen...so Damien was about 4 feet tall! lol I made everyone else who was there for dinner sit down and watch it with me..haha. Yes, we all know where whence Damien gets his loving nature and kindness.. Like you, Hyp, I loved the bit where Jarvis was peering at the screen..did you see how he spotted the cameraman in Dublin, too? (already likes the camera, just like his Dad, hey!) Mysterri, I loved the romantic bit in Dublin too...so cute! All in all, it was just lovely. *can see even more fans lining up to join DLO after this special* Did you also note they said FIVE times platinum? ? This isn't the first time they have said this, even though the Arias still show only four...so actual sales (which would include non-aria stores?) must be five times. I have to admit though, that even if I like Jess, one can't argue that Damien was obviously the right choice for Idol...the differences in sales on the respective "journey" albums are very very marked, aren't they?

I was so excited about seeing Dublin, how much I missed being there since I've been there and want to go back, and it's one more place to say I want to go back!!! But sorry guys, gRRRRRRRr to Louis Walsh, Ireland greatest tour manager - (NOT)!!!! I could kill him when I saw that guy!!! lol but enough of that1!! sorry, shouldn't of mention that actually but I did

Yes Louis Walsh I thought it was funny how Louis said it's great that Damien's doing his own songs He manages Westlife who need to do more of their own songs and one of the many reasons Ronan "let him go" was because he wanted him to do an album of mostly covers so I find that strange coming from Louis. Damien should be glad he didn't get him as a manager years ago *Irelands greatest backstabber manager * *steps down from soapbox* It was a great show though tonight, loved every minute of the first half hour. And I want to go to Ireland too

That's OK Ally. Damiens song 'Fool' was aimed at him so we know who he is. We have the Late Late Show on vid recaps in one of the threads.

Absolutely fabulous to see that ch 10 gave so much of the show to Damien. I've said it before and I'll say it again, he should have his own show on TV!
I love that scene at the opera house finale where D's dad ruffles his hair. Says so much about how much his dad loves him just in that one action. I also love the scenes with Eileen where they've had a kiss and a hug and he just looks at her and grabs her again. So in love and so happy. What a night for him and his family. It's so great to see. Whenever I decide it's time for another Damienfest I watch TWJ and the final again and particularly those scenes.
Cannot wait for the new single and new album. Bring them on!!!
Abundant blessings to you and your's Damien.

I just think Louis is basically a boyband manager!! he just can't hold onto and think about anyone being a soloist!!!! I jsut hate Louis for that and like wouldn't take Damo on 9 years ago!! I'm so glad as Jo pointed out that Louis didn't take him on!!! He is a good Australian Idol and it's great that way!!! I so loved the first half hour too, hehehehehe

How photogenic is Jarvis! He's such a charismatic little guy! That boy is going places! He may be only half-Irish, but he's just as charming as his dad! Eileen's a lucky lady!
