Saw it!!! Am posting in the Congrats thread - in a spin - LOVE IT!!!!!   shims, you make a good point in the "Congrats" thread about the vid..that is, D goes from being an observer into the story...very true!  ... ;D and yeah, as has been said by others..what is wrong with that girl?  *  |

Well that's right - it's only when in the forest that she finally sees Damien?? Talk about suspending belief! You know we were talking about different interpretations in another thread, and I am now thinking that when Damien comes in to the dinner and sings and knows how many steps to her door because he's been there before, and is in her wardrobe etc etc... that he isn't just looking on from way afar but is a friend of "the disaster couple" in the video and can see up close how badly he treats her and wants to change that. So I'm seeing it in a different light yet again now!!! |

Meaning that before that I had thought that it was from this perspective, that Damien's character had never really known either of them, but saw all that went on from a distance - even saw the 'bad boyfriend' saying no to her orange raincoat in the shops from a distance. But now I think maybe she stopped to have a chat with him one day because she knew him and said 'that so and so HATED this orange raincoat I loved...." (edit with another theory) ... or maybe the 'bad boyfriend' was unconscious on the couch again after one of those 'happy dinners!' and Damien's character was listening to her say... well, you know, I'm fed up with this other bloke! And Damien's character was thinking, wow, if only... lol... this song has set my imagination running to wonder about it. It's such a story in the lyric, I'm enjoying it |
