hmm.. he has read quite a few pages' snippets - interesting breach of copyright if that was what they did and not just made it up - it is a republication without permission of the author one would think ...

With the embargo on this book (I am serious when I say we have to keep the BOXES covered  ) it had to be bits from previous books. The radio station would be sued out of existance if they had somehow got a copy, and I don't know who would have given them one, because they would be in deep sh*t too.............. |

I've read all of the books. I don't recall any of those phrases/exchanges. But I suppose they could be making some educated guesses. Mind you, I didn't think damien sounded truly enthused ... rather guarded  - maybe he just thought it distracted? or is he trying to get every person who buys the book on sat also buy his cd? Still there are lots of stories circulating of leaked copies  |

Did anyone else hear it, they said that they got their hands on a copy and that they would not read it because they would get sued, so they got Damien to read it. I don't know if it was the real book or not, it could have been a publicity stunt to make people want to buy the book just to see.

I think I read somewhere that apparently the publishers were worried that the embargo would be broken this time because it's the last book and their power is weak now..nothing to hold over them any more?  |

What does Damien have to do with Harry Potter? (Besides the fact that he likes it and that his single is coming out on the same day as the last book.) And where did they get a snippet from Deathly Hallows? What on earth is going on?

Actually, they have quite a lot of hold - they will not supply any further books to anyone who releases the HP book early, and they are a big publisher. I think it all sounds like a huge stunt - I can't believe D would be involved in anything that was even vaguely suss. |

The boxes of books have alarms and tracking devices in them, and they're being guarded by security guards (and also by some 10-foot tall security trolls, and a 3-headed dog called Fluffy ). I reckon JK Rowling could afford to pay the guards more than they'd get for stealing a copy and selling it early. As if they wouldn't get sued just because they got Damien to read it rather than reading it themselves. |
