Yes it was hilarious as she didn't believe me so I put Damien on to her and she was gobsmacked..  Luckily I think Sis was driving .. I'm just posting parts of my report here as well. Damien came on at 6pm and straight away noticed us,   and had a few chuckles...even while singing, everytime he looked our way..we all had the biggest cheesy smiles ;D on our faces and it made him smile...hence while singing in parts it sounded like he was going to laugh out loud!.... He sang 22 Steps with Easy in the middle, which was just beautiful, and then he asked the audience what they would like to hear next, and most called out...*us*  All I want is you! some called out Crying, and he ended up doing Dannyboy, which brought a few of us to tears.  Absolutely gorgeous and effortless, pure bliss!  Before he sang Dannyboy, the 90.9fm presenter asked the audience if they had any questions for Damien, and of course the presenter made a bee line straight toward us!! Poor Andy coped the most, as the rest of us dived for cover! (I'll let her tell you what she did!) some of the questions that were asked of Damien were....What will the next single be? and when is it being released? Also if his album will be going to Ireland? He also made mention of the concerts and Damien couldn't remember the name of the venue in Brisbane he was going to be playing at ....Sister helped him along and yelled out...Qpac!! Lucky the Damienites were on hand to help answer some of the more tricky questions for him!  I think we also managed to get a plug in about the forum!!  The presenter asked us what the name was, and over the mic he says...DamienLeithOnline! We actually should of had cards with us, as I can't recall how many people stopped and asked us about the shirts and what the name of our forum was...so if you see a few new names pop up, that could be why! As Winter once said...... Pimp ze Forum!! All in all the best night ever, well since the last time anyway! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and Damien was just so funny and really chirpy, it made it even more special. Can't wait for the next gathering girls ;D.......and Damien  |
