Can't wait!  Damien actually got a tiny mention on the news last night - they were talking about Shannon Noll's upcoming album and said that he would have competition from the Idol area, with Damien Leith's new album coming out and the new crop of Idol contestants. It seemed a bit of an odd comment when Shannon's actual album won't be out for a while, but whatever. ;D |

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!  I JUST SAW IT ON THE NEWS!!!. Damien was talking about Danny boy and then he sung a bit of it, it was so beautiful!!!!!  The reporter Angela Bishop also said at the end "That will become every mum's favourite song" ;D |

 1 minute on Damien's new album and 10 MINUTES on Cat Steven's new album and biography of every moment he breathes !!! Why couldn't they at least split the difference & give a local artist a good big segment too, you know! Well, at least Damien is on the telly, that's good news. Fingers crossed for the 5pm version to have more hopefully It was basically the same Angela Bishop interview we saw the last time, however this time Damien's chat and playing was cut to only include Danny Boy (divinely performed). It's wonderful to see Damien singing it, I love it, but today this occasion of the release of his album is really about his original work and the time could have been spent today showing more of his musical aspects, esp considering the time he could have been on in that segment and the footage we've alreaedy seen from that interview where they had so much more. At least at the very start Angela said it was great that he'd had so long to work on it and that it was his first originals album etc. So hopefully the 5pm coverage will really include on the broad spectrum of his work and show him really talking about and excited and performing his new work too Thanks so much Carla, I would have missed this otherwise, it was a lot more of Danny Boy this time which was gorgeous, & I hope the next one we'll see his own work too |
