when i was getting the kids dressed this morning mrcrazy came running upstairs to kiss me goodbye and told me that he had left the radio on as Damien was going to be on. i waited till 8.15am but had to walk J to school, so i missed it - mrcrazy is really in my good books now

...And Damien is seriously not that much like James Blunt - they are two totally different distinctive voices. Anyway, by that logic there would be a whole lot less rap artists getting attention since the popular stuff is 90% the same crap rehashed. Well said Kami! I didn't hear the interview but these excuses sound *really* stupid. Surely Kyle cannot go back on his *publicly spoken* word?!

Last night I put a link to that interview in the Request & Vote for AIWIY thread (Action Station) and the Music Appreciation section - 2Day fm Interview 16/10/07 thread.Yeah I have no respect for Kyle. He was the usual condescending and totally insincere hypocrit... well, he's consistent. Still haven't heard it on the station. But Damien sounded good and as usual presented himself really positively despite the slant of the interview questions - shows his maturity and experience to keep the conversation on his terms.

I've heard AIWIY once on 2DAYFM late at night, just before midnight. But, I haven't heard it played during the day. I too am sick of hearing constantly Rogue Traders, Veronicas, Shannon Noll, Good Charlotte, to name a few. Radio seems to have some idea that Damien isn't cool enough for younger audiences. Kyle: the man is totally up himself!
