Sorry everyone, I came across this halfway through the interview.
I had been listening to 2Day FM waiting to hear AIWIY.
I walked into my bedroom and my clock/radio was on Mix 106.5 and I could just hear the faint tones of heee heeee heeee heee heee. I went to turn it up and realised that it was an acoustic version.
Damien was in the studio. This is all I have heard
They were talking about inhibitions. Not you, you clearly used it as a springboard. Marty can't. Damien replied that he told him the other week to get focussed, that this was a major opportunity. He should be getting on top of it.
They mentioned Celebration and how he bounced back from that night.
Carl - he likes Carl, was really pleased with his performances the other night especially 2nd song. Damien's money is with Carl
Matt - talented, the whole package
Natalie he thought was nice. She is having trouble finding her style. They suggested that she takes note of his album Where We Land.
There was no mention of Tarasai. Not that I heard.
(I was writing all this down on the back of a bra tag that I had ripped off a new bra recently
)
They thanked him for coming in and mentioned his concerts coming up. They also wished him good luck for the 2 Arias that he is nominated for. I had the impression that they must have spoken about this before the singing of AIWIY.
I am not sure if there will be a podcast of this. I am fairly certain that Mix don't have podcasts. Maybe GJ will be able to find it later if there is one.
I will be going out shortly and I will be out for most of the day so I won't be able to follow up.
