It was funny when D kept saying "back in my day", as though he's really old.  I think this still counts as "his day", since he's still totally cool.  hehe...I thought the same...If I hadn't been watching and could only hear this, I would of thought he was 60 or something the way he answered that question!  That was a really different version of TLWB wasn't it! They said it was track 6 ...but if anyone was to listen for that, they would think it wasn't on there as it sounded nothing like the original. Except for the chorus like GJ said. I think I prefer the one on the album but would have to listen to it again I think.  Was a good plug for the christmas songs too ;D Can't wait for the screencaps of this and the Youtube link so I can rewatch it. |

GJ thanks so much for the running commentary! Oh wow, TLWB acoustic version! I've been looking forward to hearing this ever since Damien mentioned there was an alternative version! Great stuff! For the moment the lightning seems to have calmed down.. maybe I am safe here for 5 more mins?  I was so looking forward to reading all the comments about this show today! |

Thanks GJ, just had another listen to TLWB, I like it, but would like it to be faster/rockier! Does anyone know why it was changed in the first place? It's like a completely new song which is a good thing of course! as it's like we get to hear a new original! I like how it builds at the end, that's great!  It will be like Beautiful for me, took me awhile to get use to the new version after hearing the old one. Go the Leithal Weapon!!  |

Roxy I'm not sure why it was changed, but Damien mentioned at Warringah that he had a totally different version of TLWB that we would hear at some point - I'm so excited to finally have heard it! Like the other version of "Beautiful", for me it's like having a totally new song. It reminds me of Damien in his "Jeff Buckley Evening" mode, intimate gig style acoustic, I just love it so much I can hardly say, it's really my sort of thing! I have heard Damien playing those little intro notes from the acoustic TLWB a few times lately, but didn't know what song they were coming from! I just thought they were a little intro thing he was doing, but now we know where they came from! |

The words for TLWB are totally different as well......interesting take Damien but very noice ....... ;D For a moment, I thought he'd forgotten the words... But I'm going to have to wait till tomorrow to hear these... the suspense is killing me! Thanks for the commentary gj! Does anyone know if this will be repeated sometime? & WHEN? |
