I didn't hear the interview but I'm still confused.  Last I heard, Damien, Eileen and the boys were heading to Ireland on the 23rd December for three weeks and I read somewhere (sorry, can't quote the source) that they would be back in Australia on the 15th January. Perhaps this interview was pre-recorded (as was mentioned above) but how would Damien know what he ate for Christmas dinner unless roast pork and crackling is a tradition within the Leith family? *yum* I was only thinking today how much I'm missing Damien and will be glad when he is back home in Oz. Not that I ever get to see him on a daily basis (I wish!) but I miss the daily excitement of what he's up to and the pretteh. SJ and Holly, has there been any mention of Damien in the Irish newspapers or magazines? I don't begrudge Damien and Eileen their hiatus in Ireland but I'll be so happy when they are back on Aussie soil.  |

Hey gj  It didn't sound like a phone call, but could of been pre-recorded? They did mention Christmas dinner...but didn't mention much else about his trip?? So who knows!!  I agree, I'd say he was definitely in the studio with them but, yeah, it could've been a pre-recorded one from his last week. But quite frankly, the standard of the Hot30 interviews are generally abyssmal for information about the guest's projects. Usually it's all about Tim and Bigsy... and what Tim thinks (or doesn't!) about things. I find Tim often disrespectful to those not in their top 5 or with a bullet (like Kyle)... But they were ok this time. Though it lasted all of about 3 minutes(?) I hope next interview they'll play more than the little medley of the dance mix versions - mind you, those were kind-of cute. Just discovered NOML dance-mix - we need a dancing smiley! At last, D's being heard on the airways in 2008 and it's only early days.

Thanks Roxy. Just listened to it. AHHHH it sounds like his home!!!!....that is so confusing man!!. I know his still in Ireland but they make it sound like his home. Damien, if you read this....YOU'RE NOT FAT.....NOT ONE SINGLE BIT ... Radio stations are so full of crap  |

Not a fan of Tim/Biggsy Hot 30 etc one bit. Must check this out though, thanks. I found it a shock to consider Damien would be back in Aus already. Damien fat??? pffft - what the heck is this? Australia's Next Top Model???  edit: it sounds like it was pre-recorded and making it up about the weight gain thing as a Xmas thing. Still don't like it. |

Thanks for the link Roxy. So Damien didn't mention the pork and crackling, the other two did. Damien is such a good sport in how he deals with some of the inane questions thrown at him. Why would Tim suggest that Damien lose his beautiful Irish accent as a New Year resolution? Sounds like Bigsy's mother is a little short on manners as well. Damien was not fat on AI. The cameras can add kilos but not to the extent that he ever appeared fat. This was obviously pre-recorded to be played in the New Year and I think this is great. While Damien is in Ireland having a break with his family, we still get to hear him on radio and he's not being forgotten by the radio stations. I loved the way Damien said he had a munchity crunch. And I also love the way he says 'babies". Oh, alright I just love listening to anything he says. |
