Well in my opinion:
No.1 presents the kind of image that would be seen in a modelling magazine. (Photoshoped and all) Yes, it's a lovely picture, but not really realistic. Like you'll never see Damien like that in person. Sure it's great for a cd cover, but I think not so for other promotion. A little more realism would be nice.
No2. is like a glamour photo shoot in my mind. Like yeah this is what people would look like on their best day. Great for promotion in my opinion. It shows that Damien "scrubbed up" is actually a good looking guy ready to take on the world. Also the various poses he has in the pics can convey a different idea. From laid back "The music industry is so nice and caring ahhh" to Damien standing and looking directly inot the camera as to say "yeah you, you know I'm talking to, you bought my album. Thank you". These kind of pics would sell great as posters I think.
No.3 are very real to life pictures. A look each one of us could have. Clean and well dressed. It feels to me like I actually can believe if I saw Damien in the street, he'd look just like that. Those kind of pics go well inside the little booklet of an album. Or maybe a different style of a poster. But I'd prefer not to use them that much for promotion.
So my pics are this:
CD/DVD covers: Style 1
Posters: Style 2
TV Ads: Different shots featuring Style 2 and 3
Advertsing an instore performance: Style 3
Advertising a concert: Style 1 or 3
Websites: Style 2

They're all great of course but it's naturally charming for me ;D Even the second pics have been edited a lot. Look where his hair line is on the video shoot pics and look at the winners journey pics  He looks fine the way he is so I don't like the whole fake look. Too much tan and hair on the single cover *not that having hair is a prob but it's not his* even his stubble looks added I say natural because that's what you get when you meet him or see him in concert plus they've given him plenty of makeup anyway so isn't that enough for promo's? Imagine what they would have done with Dean *oops forgot Deans perfect  * |
