lol, I don't have a hubby yet, but my bf is very used to hearing all about winter and Neski and all the Damienites and all the hilarity around here as well as the excitement from all the meetings, etc and he loves all the stories - ah, and I love him for listening Ahh, it's nice to have a thread to thank our lovelies In fact, bf is a big fan of Damien too, & he loves the way he's been so lovely to everyone at the meet and greets and been so generous with his time. He thinks he's a "great bloke" - which in man-speak is about as high praise as you can get! ;D

I wish my hubbie was a fan. At this stage it's more like I've brought home a horrendous piece of furniture that he's getting used to! He'll love him one day...it's just a matter of planting the seed...bwahahahaha...*rubs hands together and smiles knowingly*

He'll love him one day...it's just a matter of planting the seed...bwahahahaha...*rubs hands together and smiles knowingly* my hubby really liked this piece of furniture when we saw it in the shop. in fact it was he who encouraged me to buy it and bring it home - however he is rapidly going off said piece of furniture as wife and kids seem to pay a lot more attention to it than to him. he is even suggesting...pains me to say it...to sling said piece of furniture out with the next council pick up. sex trilly? what's that? not a chance now Damien's around and cricket season has started. we will resume our mating season once the footy season begins. as long as there's a quiet patch on this forum then

well, I'm still supposed to be having a DFD (Damo Free Day) at the request of gorgeous husband. Very difficult though. I've got around it by listening to all the original artists who sand the songs he did and just imagining D's version instead. Ah, sneaky, eh?! Lucky for me husband loves all the original versions of the songs D chose on idol, but didn't watch the show at all (except for Wicked Game when I called him into the room to watch it), so I am working on the "Damien's taste in music" angle of winning gorgeous husband over rather than the "he's a fox!" angle. I'm afraid his voice doesn't impress him much, but I think it's more that he is totally puzzled by his usually rational and down to earth missus going a bit la la over one artist. He's never seen it before and has only heard the rumours about my Bros days from my school friends.
Slowly slowly wins the race...

Bros tut tut - what are you doing in here....it's still today yeah, Bros...but if you look at my myspace you will see that thankfully my musical taste has evolved somewhat! Update on DFD - I did pretty well. Didn't listen to D all day and although I was on the forum a couple of times, I didn't mention D's name for the entire day at home. Hubbie was suitably impressed. In fact, he was the one who told me D & E were having a baby...Mind you, I was able to talk about him for three whole hours at my leadlighting classes! He he...(I do have other things to talk about, but I hadn't seen any of them since I met D at Sunrise, so there was a lot of "oooooh!"ing and "aaaaaah"ing to be done by fellow classmates!

I have the bestest bestest best hubby in the whole wide world...and no one else can have him...so there
Well it would appear that your hubbie is leading a double life because the bestest hubby in the world lives at my house as a matter of fact! He may not like Damo, but he's perfect in his imperfections. He he!

Well, hubby is still a bit freaked about the whole thing and thinks that I'm going totally overboard about 'Justin or Jason'-that's what he calls Damien to annoy me. I keep telling him that I'm making all these great friends on the Forum, not talking to Damien or even necessarily about him. If I could just make him a fan...... Unfortunately, his tastes run to Jimmy Barnes types-he liked Mutto. He's probably right about me spending too much time in the Forum though. Thank goodness oz is about to push me out of the top 10 posters.
