OK, I've managed in the meantime to pull out an audio file from the massive video file I made of Damien performing Beautiful at Star City on Friday 23 February 2007. It has a longish introduction from Damien talking about Idol auditions and then intro'ing the new song. Warning - we are still trying to tweak the crackling and I'm sorry for the people around me (not me - Popeye!!) screaming and singing along on the odd occasion .... But doesn't sound toooo bad overall. www.megaupload.com/?d=RRGG3NMGNB - It is a .wav file. I think you'll find Damien has since changed the ending a bit in the later shows - at Seagulls he does more of a rising coda which sounds pretty terrific - this earlier version is a bit more restrained. |

Thanks DD. Yes it does crackle a bit but the song itself is so catchy that you hear beyond the crackle. I haven't heard the intro very well but I can put that down to my ears not working properly.

I listened to 'Beautiful' yesterday (the MP3 version) for the first time and it was a bit crackly so I couldn't really hear the tune properly (or so I thought). But then today, I had it stuck in my head all day and I couldn't stop singing... I love it, it's beautiful! If it isn't the single, it fully has to go on the album.
I don't usually buy singles so I have TWJ but not NOML. I feel like I should have the single (even though the NOML and Come To Me are on TWJ) cos Damien's my favourite singer... Lol so should I buy it?

Wow, imagine this:
Damien releasing 'Beautiful' as a single with a hot Damien video clip to accompany it. And Eileen in the clip as well, with Damien singing to her. And Jarvis too, cos he's cute. And Bump. How cool would that be!

I had written down the words for myself, and thought this is what that verse seemed to sound like?? Tell me what you think?

on the two versions its pretty clear its Love on one and Light on the other ---- Damien he is a bit tricky ........first line I have changed to feels...will listen again ---- the things we have to do..........
