Yes, Damien sings it well, and we all know he hits perfect high notes...but it remains a very simple little song. Nice enough.

I wasn't sure about the music/arrangement, but the more I've heard it the more I like it. Damien's voice is just beautiful no matter what he sings of course and this is no exception. The lyrics are lovely as well. Even though it *may* not match "Beautiful", or other songs Damien has written, it doesn't matter to me as I don't expect every song from my favourite singers to be absolutely equal to each other (I'll always like some more than others) and this should be a nice addition to the album. Plus, Damien says it is a little different on the album so I'm looking forward to hearing that.

I actually like it better than 'Beautiful', which at points sounds so much more like an Alex Lloyd song to me. 'All I Want Is You' sounds more Damien. I wasn't that impressed with it when I first heard Damien singing it, but it grew on me quickly. I'm really interested in how it will be done on the album.

I did read in an interview *can't remember which one* that Beautiful was one of the songs he worked on with Alex. When I first heard it I thought it sounded a lot like the Alex Lloyd song too

Damien Leith: Yeah, I did some co-writes with him and some other guys, and the way we did it was, we actually co-wrote songs that I had already written. Any of the songs that needed a bit of work; say the chorus wasn’t strong enough or the chorus needed to lift a bit. You know when you’ve been working on something for a while you just get to the point where you can’t just fix it up – so Alex was great. He’s a real smart guy and he’s got a real great way about him. There are two songs on the album that we did together – Beautiful and Blew it all Away and it’s great. Being that they’re old songs of mine, its only small changes but just hearing those changes makes such a big difference so full credit to Alex

I heard this for the first time last night, and thought it was okay, but it has grown on me since then - like this morning! .. I love the guitar, and the lyrics are gorgeous.. Another for me!

I seem to remember from somewhere (goodness knows where at this stage, a couple of glasses of Fox Creek Shiraz don't help ) that Lloyd's imput wasn't huge - Damien wrote the song and Lloyd 'tweaked' it. We know there was a change of lyrics - D said 'where we land' was the original - so maybe that was it

I only heard 'All I Want Is You' today and it's an alright song, but I found it a little bit boring (except for the high notes). I expect I'll like the recorded version a lot better though (unlike 22 Steps - I like the recorded version of 22 Steps just as much as the acoustic version).

Finally managed to download the song since my internet has be misbehaving.

I love this song and can't wait for the studio version. It's so pleasant and has nice lyrics.
The high notes are amazing.
