Today this song has hit me like a ton of bricks. I've always liked it but today started just as I got in the car on the way to work- for some reason- it just touched me incredibly. What beautiful lyrics- it's like I've heard it for the first time. *sigh

At the concerts that I attended he never referred to it as a new single. the only time new single was mentioned was when he sang All I Want Is You. In fact, Dmac and I were divided on whether he even sang it at Newcastle. I say yes and DMac says no. He said after singing AIWIY "and speaking of singles and future songs and all the rest here is a song called Shine Like the Sun" What does he mean by "single" though? Damien's talked about AIWIY not going to be a commercial single. But I guess it was an industry single - for playing publicly . And he kept saying it in the concerts too - puzzling those looking for it in shops  . I wonder if that's also the case with SLTS. I'd really like a commercial single that I can get in my hot little hands... |

It has appealled to me more and more, but after hearing it in concert in Melbourne, it has become one of my favourites, quite suddenly..I can't stop playing it, and seeing D's beaming face as he sings it...shining like the sun. ;D |

If it does not get radio support then it will not be released. This is why it is so crucial that we request it when its released to radio. Looking at itunes AIWIY is more popular than NOML as a download from that site.....so maybe we should have requested more often. Hope we can jump on the next single with great gutso and get it on the radio playlists. |
