I'm going to get the dvd, after watching that you tube clip, amazing stuff. 'Leah' is a great song too, I think that's one of my mums faves. Roy's songs would definitely suit Damien with the feeling he puts into the songs and his range (Crying for example ).

oh wow - well, Crying was my ultimate Roy Orbison song I think for Damien and he already sings it - when I had a broken heart when I was in my 20s, I played Roy Orbison songs on repeat for about 3 weeks straight - and that was the main one I would go back to - he really knows how to write heartbreak... Hearing Damien singing Crying in happier times really feels amazing to me now. In Dreams and She's a Mystery to Me are my other 2 definites I hope for

OK, I'm not going to be greedy. I want to hear Damien sing every song that Roy ever sang. I just can't choose one I'm sorry, although She's A Mystery To Me would be top of my list. I've been a Roy Orbison fan for many years now and I'm also a huge fan of K.D. Lang, she's my favourite lesbian. Seriously, her voice is just amazing and I don't really care what her sexual persuasion is but she can't have me, I'm taken. Shims, I can so relate to the broken heart and playing Roy's songs. Each one of them took on a special meaning for me many years ago but the actual meaning behind many of the songs he wrote is so much more poignant. Gawd, what a tragic early life he had but this culminated in some of the most beautiful music the world has ever heard. Pretty Woman is another favourite of mine even though my ex-husband used to sing to me "Silly Woman......" and the dickhead still wonders why he's my ex husband. I'm hoping that Damien does do a cover album of Roy's music and would that be so wrong? I know that Guy Sebastian has been canned for his new Memphis album even though that is the genre of music he is most comfortable with. Those other dudes? (can't remember their name?) have released two Motown albums in the last twelve months and they are also being treated as a bit of a joke. Would it be too risky for Damien to deviate from his own style and sing Roy Orbison? I hope not because I would certainly be buying the album.

I think it would be a tribute to Roy's music and if they could somehow get some involvement from the Orbison family that would be absoltuely fabulous. Somehow these albums seem to do really well.......I mean Human Nature are pretty blehhh.....but they sell records........go figure!!

Can't imagine there being a whole album although it would be amazing if there was. More likely to be just another song I think.

Human Nature! that's them. It would be wonderful if the Orbison family came on board to endorse a cover album of Damien singing Roy's songs as only Damien can do. I honestly don't remember any other artist successfully covering Roy Orbison's music since he died and his music definitely has to be kept alive for generations to come.

What's the audience doing though? I remember there was a show on a few years back with his life story that my mum watched and the audience didn't move at all I think if Damien did an album of Roy songs my mum would get more excited than me *maybe just* We at least need a recorded version of Crying but I wouldn't complain about a whole album.
