Why do people have to bag Idols so much and belittle their achievements?

When I read the title to this thread I was up beat and smiling thinking, platinum already, what a star Damien Leith is. Congratulations mate etc.

But then I read the article.

What a crock! He obviously has no idea or appreciation of talent or indeed what Idol is about. For goodness sakes Damien has just started in the industry and these backstabbers already have their knives out.
