Hey Sunshine, I don't think it's that. Maybe they just delayed it as he is away in Ireland. Perhaps they would rather him here for the interviews etc that go with promoting a single.
this week they have all been pretty full on with Delta so maybe they don't have the scheduling to do it yet? I don't know, I'm just thinking out loud really. ;D

Delta's song sounds like everything else she's released. Nothing very new and exciting there, but yes, radio loves her and so they'll flog it to death. MixFM in Sydney usually plays Damien, so I imagine we'll soon hear AIWIY on that radio station. 2 DAYFM has played 22 STEPS a few times. But NOVA seems to be a Damien free zone, for whatever reason.  Merrick & Rosso made a few snide remarks about Damo last year, so maybe that's got something to do with it. All you ever hear on NOVA is Good Charlotte.  |

 All things aside Sunny, the 2 times that it has been heard on Sydney radio it has been NOVA. It was Mix 106.5 that I sent the email to. I haven't had a reply yet, but it has only been an hour. I am about to go offline so I probably won't know if I get a reply until much later. I like Delta, but yes, you hear the song all the time plus Shannon Noll. EDIT: Damien mentioned in the interview from Ireland that he did the new video last Friday and considering he is only away for a week then I think you are right Roxy in that they are delaying it. He will probably sing it at Federation Square. I will let you know if I ever get a reply to my email

Next week when D is back will there be some more official things regarding the release to radio of AIWIY? Like radio interviews and stuff. Or do they only do those things for the first single released off the album? Or do we not know yet? What will he be singing at Fed Square, does anyone know?

They must have delayed the release to radio until after Damien has returned home from Ireland. Otherwise, it's being completely snubbed by radio, at least in Sydney.  |

When Damien did one of his earlier Irish interviews this week, he said the single had been released to Aust radio that day/week. I'm worried he's being snubbed until they do a commercial deal with him to play it. I hope I'm wrong. What's wrong with these stations?  Oh well, I'll keep  . They'll have to respond eventually! |

I actually don't mind them waiting to play it. How awesome will it be to hear an interview with D and then hear AIWIY being played after it. Double Damien is always extra awesome!  |

Yeah Spud, remember how the Hot30's tim and Bigsy only played 22Steps when Damien joined them in the studio? Maybe they're planning the same strategy. Hopefully they follow up with more airplay tho.  Can't wait to hear both the song and a new interview about AIWIY with Damien this week  |

Im obviously not listening to the radio enough, can't get these damn ipod headphones out of my ears, I have been requesting & voting for AIWIY though. Does anyone know when the single is out in the shops

Like, it would be pretty silly to release it tomorrow (for example) because hardly anyone will have heard it. And if they set the date for next week and radios still didn't play it before then, they'd have to put it back a bit later to wait for the song to get some popularity on the radio. So it's kind of hard to set a release date now. But people will hear it on Aussie Idol on Monday so that's good.  |

Haven't heard it in Newcastle, although it must have been on NXFM (2dayFM) on Saturday night........whoopee do I just love......"we'll see what we can do for you...." I keep pleading with Mark's mob to broadcast to Newcastle ;D |
