I had to check the idol forums, I couldn't wait another hour to find out I'm so happy Damien is safe but not happy Chris is out. I wanted to see them both at the opera house

I was expecting Dean to go tonight as was almost everyone and I was thrilled to bits that he didn't go....It should be a Damien and Dean final with Damien winning in my opinion.....but I guess Dean will go next week (unless he pulls out a mega trick) and it will a Damien/Jess final. As long as Damien is in the final that's the main thing. GO DAMIEN!!!!!

That is so huge - the Big O's family! If they ever made a dramatisation of Roy's life, he could play the lead role! I bet he'd look cool in glasses! Some of my highlights from the show, other than the verdict of course: Damien got hit by the mic! Owie! Bet that hasn't happened in the years he's been gigging - hordes of screaming fans will give you extra strength and make the microphone extremely jealous. Poor D isn't losing his hair, it's just growing up instead of all over his head. I think Dean and Andrew G should form the Hair Product Fan Club. D's onstage charisma and acting skills are brilliant - I loved his reaction to Jess tapping him on the shoulder in the group performance, and all the idols getting touchy-feely after standing in their serious poses at the end. As if getting the first ever double touchdown wasn't enough, Roy Orbison's family!!! He looked seriously stunned! Kyle was right when he said he had international appeal! And finally...it's always fun to watch Marcia putting Mark down!

My internet connection was gone for a second, I didn't know my comments actually posted....weird I guess that microphone stunt would explain why he's got such bad teeth - like you can tell a horse's age by its teeth, you can tell how many sold-out performances Mr Leith has played ;D

Yet again Mr. Leith comes through, phew, this is so exhausting, was real sad to see Chris go, sorry but Dean really is out of his league with Chris, Damo & Jess left, and yes, yet again the teenies have maxed out their mobiles, its soooo unfair, but we just have to accept this is the way the show goes, it IS NOT based on TALENT, but popularity. As expected Damo is getting world wide recognition for his awesome talent, Roy Orbison's family, Im sooooo happy for Damo, did u see his face, bless his little heart.
I must say, yesterday I thought, stuff it, and voted for Damo 6 times instead of my usual once or twice, (families have a mortgage & budget to worry about). I am really scared Jess will go next and our Damo will be up against Golden Boy & all the teenies, but putting it all into perspective in the grand scheme of things winning Idol isnt the be all, as Ive send a million times, its just that it would be sooooooo nice to see him win this thing as icing on the cake.
Your one in a million Damo, we love u heaps

Wow, what a night, I was moved to tears to hear Roy Orbison's family want to hear Damo's performance. They are going to love it. Damo looked so overwhelmed. I wonder if he realises just how talented he is and how much he touches us when he sings? He is so gifted and such a nice guy, he truly deserves to win Idol. I have no doubts he will be an international superstar. I hope he wins Idol.
Hugs, Belinda

I was hoping like mad Dean would go last night. And I have a knot in my stomach because he is still here, but I admit I kinda felt sorry for him when he went back to the couch - his nerves were obviously wrecked. Nice of Damien to put his hand on his shoulder, too.

I think Dean is starting to feel seriously intimidated, cos he knows he's not the best singer and he's been relying on his fans to vote him through but they've been letting him down. I think he's been feeling it though, he's been flatter than usual. Seriously, why make him do Nickelback? That lead singer has a voice that could grate cheese, while you could pour soft drink straight down the middle of Dean's voice it's so hollow. Actually, did everyone else catch colds at the Sydney Motor Show or something? They just didn't seem as good as they normally are, even Jess. Perhaps they just pale in comparious to superstar Mr Leith
