Damien Singing Celebration

Ok sorry every one..but i just had to make a thread about this ;D
Any way i downloaded heaps of Damiens performances.
and if i can remember did the judges say something bad about his performance when he did Celebration?.
Cause if they did i dont know was going on in Mark or Kyles mind, i was full on dancing to it ..i loved it Damien was so full of Energy.
Just had to mention that hehe..and Damien if you read this, all your performances were the best, I hope you win!.

Yeah I agree with both Krislovesdamien and Neski. I fully enjoyed it and couldn't understand why they were bagging him out. Kyle criticised Damien for jumping up and down on the stage which I couldn't understand either. What else was Damien supposed to do with a song like that? Stand still and look stupid? Anyway, I loved it.

Exactly - Celebration is about moving and getting into a fun happy 'let loose' kind of place.

Oh yea!!!!, i so agree with you lisaw. i'd like to see kyle do a better job then what Damien did HAHA.

My admiration of Damien elevated even more to a new level on the night that he sung Celebration. After what those two idiots said, if I was Damien, I probably would have gone out the back and bawled my eyes out and then probably kicked a couple of walls in. I might have even cried on national tv!

Anyway, he was cool and just rolled with the punches. God, he's beautiful in so many ways!

Oh yeah. "Bizarrest thing ever seen on TV" is pretty bad.
I loved it personally! Not only can he stand and sing, play the piano or strum the guitar and still connect with the audience, but man, he can come out and work a crowd! I enjoyed watching him run around the stage like a mad thing ;D
The crowd did too. They were all on their feet, just like he asked them. And he seemed to be feeling the vibe in the room - I think he enjoyed it as much as the audience - barring the judges - did

I didn't see why the judges were so harsh that night. I thought it was an admirable go at a genre he wasn't used to or comfortable with. The way that Damien handled their rude and totally uncalled for comments was very much to his credit. He spoke his mind and held his head up high. I have nothing but admiration for him

I enjoyed it...and you could tell the audience was right into it.....
I appreciated his energy and enthusiasm in this performance and while it wasn't anywhere near his best efforts (Crying, Hallelujah, Wicked Game etc) I still thought it was great.

"Most bizarre thing on television" coming from from Mark... well, need I say more about my thoughts on that? ;D

I really admire Damien for just going with the theme that night and how he handled the rudeness, even though I could tell he was not happy with their response. Recruiting an Idol Top 12 half-full of singer-songwriters and then having a disco theme night was ridiculous anyway. They just did it to try and trip some of them up and make entertaining television.

i agree with what all of you have said. i mean what did mark and kyle expect?. he wasnt just gonna stand there or sit down. that song is made 4 dancing 2 ;D

I thoroughly enjoyed Celebration too and thought it was lots of fun. It had me up on the floor dancing away :-) I don't think its possible for Damien to do a bad performance.

Btw lisaw, "stand still and look stupid"? Damien never looks stupid - geeky or adorkable perhaps, sometimes goofy, but never stupid!
I agree - with a theme like that, they were practically asking for a daggy song! I wish I could've heard the 'turbo Irish' Chris talked about afterwards! Poor Damien - he's even polite when he's cross! I hope someone put something short and sharp on Mark and Kyle's chairs during a commercial break!
