I think I'd rather stick a pin in my eye than see D so a Christmas album.... *dodges flying Christmas ornaments* No, seriously! I can see him doing Carols in the Domain/ Carols by Candlelight etc. I can see him doing a beautiful version of a Christmas song on one of those Christmas CD's for charity that have a compilation of artists...nice. But a whole album of covers, and Christmas Carols at that? Not for me thanks. I want the originals. I want the boy with the voice and the guitar and something to say  Bah Humbug!  *dodges flying Christmas tree* *grabs Jim by the hand* dont worry Jim, we ARE in the right place! |

I have to agree with that. While I like the idea of Damien singing a few Christmas songs, perhaps not a whole Christmas album. We can leave that one for Dean!

I see where you groaning people are coming from, actually, although I would still love the Christmas album if one ever happened. Damien is going to be so much in demand for Carols and charity Christmas CDs that we'll have enough to make CDs of our own if we want to.
...Out of interest, what would you guys think about Damien doing a Christmas album that had a few classic songs, but mostly Christmas-y/warm and fuzzy songs that he'd written himself? I think that could be really lovely if the Christmas aspect wasn't played up too much.

NSYNC, Destiny's Child and 98 Degrees all did a Christmas album and they were all awesome. I understand that a) they are all pop groups and b) people want originals, but come on now. This is Damien! I doubt he'd do every song the traditional way. Look at what he's done with the songs throughout the series that aren't originals and we've all loved them. In my eyes, Damien singing is Damien singing. Hearing him sing me Christmas songs would make my Christmas merrier  |

Yes but they were all established artists. Damien might be able to get away with it in 5 years time

As dismissive as I am of Xmas (it's not part of my faith - so I feel like I haven't been invited to the party) the idea of Damien singing anything right now seems like a pretty good idea to me. Hey it might end up being the only Xmas CD I ever end up buying  |
