This is the first time that my favourite Idol has made it this far! My favs usually get voted out in the first few weeks! I'm so excited that he's actually there!

I've come close to having my favourite win but never so close I could taste it. Then again, I've never had such confidence in my favourite as I have in Damien. He truly is a class act and once he gets going, I think he's unstoppable.

I pre warned hubby that there'd be either a shriek of excitment or a cry of despair. He heard my scream of delight from the other end of the house (and over the noise of his computer game). I am so glad Damien made it to the final. I'll be voting for him next week, but I'm not as worried about the result now. I'd love him to win and I think he deserves it more than Jess, but just look at the stars who have come second - Shannon Noll & Anthony Callela. Win or lose, Damien has an amazing future ahead of him and I look forward to buying his first album.

A song that I think Damien could really put his powerful voice behind is "You'll never walk alone", it starts off slowly and builds to an awesome end. (I think its Man U's signature song that all the fans sing at the huge soccer matches in UK).

Don't worry about it!  I agree that 'You'll Never Walk Alone' would be beautiful. I'm not sure if Damien will want to do something different for the final show, but it's on the list of songs I would give my right arm to hear him sing.  |

Hey, while there's one more show there's still hope.  I'd personally probably give both arms to hear him do Darren's 'Insatiable', but... er... I'm not sure everyone here could survive hearing that. ;D |

No one can do it like Gerry and the Pacemakers though, but I think Damo would excel of course. What about "You Raise me up"? |
