Yes, the thread idea is great - ok I have an idea... what if all the pages of the special thread were printed out and then bound together inside the giant card... then all our nice graphics would also be in it!

We know that Damien and Eileen have a computer so why not put everything onto a CD or DVD as a keepsake for ever more. Everyone could contribute their poems, drawings etc. as well as their best wishes to Damien, Eileen and Jarvis. You could also include your email address and of course the dleithonline address. ;D Most DVD burners are packaged with some type of editing software that can create slide-show effects etc. You could also include music, either Damien's or your own if you're a budding musician.  CD's have a far longer life than paper and it would be nice for Jarvis and any future siblings to be able to show their grandkids what Grandpa Damien did way back in 2006. LOL. Just my two cents worth, it may not be viable but it was just a thought. |

I hope this works. I've never posted before. I've been inspired by Damien to enter all these forums, download his music and actually vote on idol for the first time. I've been visiting for about two months and felt that I had better join up. Better late than never! His voice is simply the best I've ever heard on idol and I want to hear so much more of it. And what a beautiful soul. Could we have a better winner?

A CD or DVD would be brilliant! Then we could do our messages in our own handwriting, voice messages for anyone who wanted to... anything! It'd be a lot for someone to put together of course so if someone was prepared to do it, we'd have to help them out a lot... I was also thinking this morning about all the discussions that have come up regarding whether people should vote Damien to win or let him come second, and it occurred to me that we should put a stickied post in this forum explaining why most of us think it's important to still vote. Only people who visit the forum will see it, of course, but if even a few people do and change their minds it will be worth it. EDIT: Oh, and hi, bahamagirl! Better late than never is right - it's great to have you here! It's so cool that so many people are being inspired to do things they never did before from seeing Damien.  |

I could try it.... anything for Damien, but please be aware I am pretty cmputer eliterate, but I have many friends who are into software... what if we start a poll and vote..... either way, these are things he could keep forever. I'll try whatever, but in my opinion I think a scrapbook would turn out better merely for the reason that I have little knowledge of this kinda stuff.

 Wow, inside the Opera House! I'd love to be there! I know a bit about computers and would be happy to help put together a CD/DVD, but since I live in Tasmania I probably wouldn't be able to actually get it to him, short of having an address to post it to. Scrapbook might be the easiest idea and it would turn out great, but I have the time to help with the other idea in any way I can if we decide to go with it. |

I think "ozbrat" is making a CD for him with all his music on it. I'm just gonna put it all together and then worry about presentaion after that. I live about an hour away from the studios, so I can get it to him as my dad works just around the corner from the studios, but he works nightshift so that makes it a bit hard, but a few of my relo's also work in Sydney, so I can get them to drop it off that way, or I have an address to post it to as well.
