We all know the album is still months away, but this comment on the inside cover of the single grabbed my attention.
"Night Of my Life" is taken from the forthcoming CD/DVD release.
I'm pretty sure no other idol had a CD/DVD release for their first album. So this is really interesting. I wonder what'll be in it.

The Cd/DVD release is a separate thing to Damien's winner's album which will be coming out next year. I've heard Damien call this a keepsake DVD and it has all of his idol performances on a CD and a DVD- which is such a brilliant idea and I am feverishly waiting til next Wednesday when it is released.

I can't wait for next Wednesday either!  This is a brilliant move from the Idol people - give Damien's fans something to enjoy over the Christmas Holidays, and he's got some time to sit down and come up with a terrific debut CD of new material(hopefully some of his own songs included). |

I think they have finally realised that so many people loved his performances throughout the series. They are on a big money spinner there. How many performers have had so very many outstanding performances week in and week out!  |

Yeah... I can't help wishing they'd done this for previous Idol winners and runners-up though. I'd kill for an 'Anthony Callea Almost-Winner's Journey' set.
*ahem* Anyway, I was thinking that it's interesting that 'Night of my Life' is on the CD/DVD set... do you guys think this could possibly mean it's not going to be on Damien's 'official' debut album?

Great. I hope they sound better than the audio from behind idol. It's good but that will be so much better.

Winter I'm with you, of course I really like D's winner's song, but I'm sooooooo looking forward to hearing his own creations.

I feel sorry for all those people who loved Jess or Dean or Chris or Bobby...........We are so lucky that we get a cd/dvd and all they have are memories!

I know. I can't wait to buy the cd with all the songs he has performed throughout the competition.
Even my dad said that he is by far the best performer to win idol, and that he well and truly deserved it.

Hello everyone. i have still been eagerly posting messages in the aus idol forums, wondering where the heck you had all gone!!! ahhhh, now i find you all!! so, the winners journey dvd comes out on the 7th of december, is that right? I cant wait.
