Yep Damien is the only one that made me vote like crazy! The previous years I voted maybe 4 times maximum for someone, but Damien has been my favourite since the auditions and is the best Idol yet

I really like all the winners and runners-up (well, I'm only sort of lukewarm towards Emily; her voice just isn't one I could fall in love with) but there is just something special about Damien. Anthony, Shannon, Guy - brilliant; Kate and Casey will go on to show the critics amazing things if they're given a chance, but out of all of them Damien is the only one who got more than a handful of votes out of me. I honestly think of all the Idols we've had he is the most deserving winner. And you will not often hear me place anyone above Anthony or Shannon.

Yes - Damien is the best Idol by a long way. I love Anthony Callea as well but Damien is still a long way in front.

Ok ... you all know I love Damien but as far as best winning idol .... I dont think we can judge that yet ... Guy is the original idol n i love him to bits! So i can't choose out of him and Damien I cant! 1: Damien and Guy 3: Casey - I like her voice more than i like Kates ... 4: Kate Runners Up: 1. Hi, I would say Damien, and Cosima although Cosima was in the top 3, and the controversy that followed.Still, loved her voice. But NO. 1 would be Damien, 2 Cosima.

I think Cosima is brilliant too, and I think it's really interesting that so many of us here really adore one or more of the previous Idols and, now, Damien. I think he has a great mix of the qualities that have made those former Idols successful.

My favourites are
1. Damien - the best voice this country has ever heard
2. Guy - he has proven that Idol can produce lasting stars
3. Kate - love Young Divas
4. Casey - why did she win???
Runners up:
1. Anthony - still love The Prayer and his new single is good too
2. Shannon - loved him on the show but hasn't impressed me much since
3. Jess - hard to tell yet, but given a chance I'm sure she'll do well
4. Emily - love Young Diva's but not sure how she'd do alone

I did not follow series 1 but from what I see, Guy seems to be an amazing guy so I like him. I Love Anthony, Kate, Courtney, Dan England and Chanel (though her attitude post-Idol turns me off). Anyway, this year I love love love Damien and Bobby. I don't know whether next year I can still watch... now that I find the ultimate winner (no one can replace him IMO) |

Always have loved Guy the best, but I really have to be honest with myself now and Damien has moved into 1st place for me, 2nd Guy, & Dan England (yeah know he wasnt a winner) but he a winner in my eyes. I really like Casey and get quite upset about the way people talk about her, she has written her own c.d. and releasing soon. Like Shannon & Anthony also.
