The 9th seems to be the official date now. Better, really, because that will give him a full week of sales rather than a couple of days. I suppose after the nastiness over single sales SonyBMG would not want to be taking any chances.

On the home page at his site in the news section it says it comes out today but if you go to releases it says Dec 9

Wow! He knows who we are!  The sound quality on the cd is ok, not fantastic. I haven't listened to it all, but in the live version of NOML he sounds like he's shouting over the music, which he never did in the one I downloaded, and in part of Crying there's this really annoying echo. That didn't stop me from listening to Crying standing in front of the stereo with my eyes closed and nearly falling over! I got the shivers the whole way through! Who needs air con?  And the Cd case is pretty! I love the picture on the last page of the booklet! It's great to see him credited as writer for two songs as well! |

It was released today but i was informed by a very reliable source that aria acredited stores have been told not to put it out for sale until saturday which is the official release date. its like when i worked in a video store some dvds were sent out to stores with no shelf date while others were sent out with one. so we couldnt put them out til that date while other competitor stores had it out days earlier. was never really sure why but i followed the rules because there are huge penalties for releasing them early.

Guys, I am very worried about us buying this before its official release date....apparently sales dont count towards aria totals, even in aria accredited stores, BEFORE the official release date. I saw it today in Sydney but remembered about the date.... This is from Jannys fantastic post on Aria guidelines: 1. The ARIA chart is calculated from sales from Saturday to the following Friday. It is uploaded onto the ARIA website on the Sunday. This means that in order for your purchase of Damien's single and album to count you MUST purchase it within the ARIA week. ‘Night of My Life’ is OFFICIALLY released on Tuesday, 28th November. Therefore do not purchase it before the official release date even though you see the see it in stores already. We need to do this to make every sales count!This would be the same for the album.....
