OMG, this is fantastic!! I've been interstate all weekend and have missed all of the news on Damien including his performance at Carols By Candlelight. (I'm so upset about that!!)
CONGRATULATIONS DAMIEN! This is just the first of many #1 albums for you. I'm just so happy for you and it's so thoroughly deserved.
Have a safe and happy Christmas with your wonderful family in Ireland but don't forget to come home to us or we'll be mounting an expedition to Ireland to bring you back. ;D xx

And here I was hoping that his album would at least equal or better its #3 position from last week, because I believed all the hype about that idiotic 12th man CD.  No.1 single and no.1 album in the country! Wow! Bloody brilliant! I wonder how many artists have ever done the quinella in the same week. Not very many, I would think. This really bodes well for his original album next year. ;D |

Funtarstic news for D on his arrival at home....What a brilliant result... D's a legend Just arrived in Sydney, struggling with all my overweight baggage into my new tiny "executive rental" (ie roach infested shoebox)...and the radio is on the apartment! BTW...what are you doing in a roach infested shoebox with no internet connection in the Cross winter??!?!? (Sorry...am totally overwhelmed by The Hut so can't keep up with all the goings on...) |

I don't have it and probabily won't ever get it. I am one of the people looking foward to the cd more than the dvd. So I can listen to the tumes while I'm working on stuff. But thanks to the quality of them, I'll just stick with the online versions of the tracks.
But I might be buying it for someone I know for xmas.

Had to come back today to see what the accreditation was....4 Platinum?! Oh my freakin god, not since the first series has someone sold that well...and frankly, that first year was an anomaly...Idol was new and fresh and everyone wanted a piece...
can we say that D has now officially revived Idol? ;D

Hopefully Damien gets a nice big royalty check out of the huge success that is 'The Winner's Journey'. I've got to say his original songs on the CD are fast becoming my two favourites.  |
