So does the Nova chart show, determine the placing for the Aria ....I thought it was sales?

The NOVA chart show on Sunday afternoons from 3pm is the ARIA countdown. That is why we don't see the new chart until after 6pm. That is not good if it has fallen that far with the album coming out. Let's hope you were wrong Sunny. I bought an extra copy this week to help sales. Guess not too many people did.

Well, it's still an awesome single. So, teeniesAustralian public who would rather hear inane songs about ping pong than a classy effort, I say... well, actually, I can't say it, we have young'uns here. Don't stress, everyone. The singles chart has been seriously screwed for ages now. Damien got on there, and that's brilliant, and anything can happen yet. But the album is the real deal.

Damien could be like Michael Buble: someone who mightn't have hit singles, but sells a lot of albums regardless. And, the sort of people who'll buy the new album aren't the dumb teens who love Fergie and Good Charlotte. However, I'd advise Damien to release a strong second single, which I'm sure there is plenty of on the album, because he does need some radio airplay - for some unknown reason, radio programmers don't like 22 Steps.

They don't like it because it's basically unremixable, I bet. Can't make it go faster to keep up with shortening attention spans without wrecking it. ...Although I shouldn't lay that challenge out there, because I just know someone, somewhere, will try.

I think you must be right Sunshine. It's a mystery to me where some people's taste is. The album is just going to be magnificent given what we've already heard. Truly, I'm in ecstacy.

The one insurmountable fact: number one or not, we'll love him anyway, won't we?

The one insurmountable fact: number one or not, we'll love him anyway, won't we? Absolutely Hyp! Frankly I couldn't care less about charting but I know how important it is for an artist to sell records. I'm transfixed. God only knows what is going to happen when I hear the other tracks!! I'll be like this!

Okay, so Damien took a gamble with a beautiful, slow song and it didn't hit #1. Lots of slow burners have taken a while for the public to catch on. We love it and I'm sure the rest of the crowd will catch up with the album. I'm so excited that it's getting closer. waiting... not really patiently... playing 22 Steps, Song for Jarvis, Who you are ... and The Winners Journey... I'm in heaven!

The one insurmountable fact: number one or not, we'll love him anyway, won't we? Of course we will! And Sunshine, you're right - I never remember Michael Buble being #1, but still he's still massive worldwide. I have a feeling Where We Land will do fantastically ;D

I don't think having the single out for a month before release to the record stores did Damien any favours. It should have been released to radio and then one week later to the shops. Four weeks was silly. A good strong song like Sunny said, a nice catchy one, *hicBeautifulwould fitnicelyintothiscategoryhic* is needed sooner rather than later.
I took a lot of listens to 22 Steps before I found it catchy enough to have it going around in my head and I was singing along. I have made no secret of that. General Public haven't had the amount of listens that I have had.
