But that's for people who get the album at the right time.

So Kami, have you or your mum listened to the album yet? What did you think of it? What's your favourite song? I'd better not say anything more than if you don't all absolutely love it, there's something wrong with you. Also, even though I'm probably the last person anyone wants to hear it from at the moment, remember that the ARIA charts of themselves have absolutely nothing to do with music. I remember quite a few of you guys being happy to support Damien whether at the bottom or top of the charts. I do understand the desire to give him that number 1 he deserves and to show to the uneducated masses that his success is continuing, but please don't let a couple pre-release CDs in a few stores ruin for you what is supposed to be an unbelievably exciting time for Damien's fans. It's just ridiculous that we should be going, 'OMG, woe, the CDs are selling!' one week and 'OMG, woe, the CDs aren't selling!' the next (which from the look of things we won't be saying anyway, but just as an example...), and I accept that we have to play along with the silliness of it all a little, but it's not worth getting righteously angry over. What matters in the end is that those CDs get heard, and loved. I wasn't going to say anything because I'm sure you all get that on some level and I know you're concerned for Damien, but I won't have anyone implying even in jest that my mother is a bad fan just because she cares about the music above everything else. Also, Damien is likely to have a long and successful career, and y'all are going to drive yourselves insane worrying about this every few months...

Kami, I think I'll keep out of music stores until Saturday..... I don't want to be tempted beyond what I can bear!!!! Altho..... living outside the metro area now, I might be lucky to see it in the local shops in the next month!!

When I was in JB-HiFi I took a quick look at the L section to see what the assistant did with the spanking new album flyers and ... What did I see? A cd with the new album cover and I thought NOOOOoo! A closer inspection (just to look - really ) showed that it was only a dummy version - the cover on a blank box with no tracks listed. Good thing then the flyer was just sticky-taped above it, which DID have the information. I will be strong and hold out till Saturday!! Go the album! Go Damien!

Kami, yep, you're right, the charts aren't everything. The music is what counts the most...but they might mean something to Damien.

I would like to state here and now that I am replying to Kami as a MEMBER and supporter of Damien and NOT as a Mod. Kami, I can understand your Mums eagerness to get the album. We are all anxiously waitiing for Saturday to arrive. There have been links posted on this site where you can hear a bit of EVERY song on the album. I haven't been able to resist listenening over and over again and I agree with your comment that if you don't absolutley love it then there is something wrong with you. Some people from here have resisted the urge to listen at all. They want to hear the complete package on Saturday. I don't know how they manage to do that. I am really annoyed at the stores for putting it out on display already when it doesn't have a release date until Saturday 26th April. I can understand the 'uneducated' for buying it when they see it, but I find your comments are a little unsettling to me. You have been a fabulous member here for a long time and you knew about the fuss that happened when WWL went on sale earler than it should have. You and your mother are 'educated' in how the charts work and for you to say don't let a couple pre-release CDs in a few stores ruin for you what is supposed to be an unbelievably exciting time for Damien's fans. How many is a 'couple'? Is it 5, 50 or 500? And how many stores? It would be a fantastic achievement if Damien could get his 3rd #1 which is what we are all aiming for. What if he misses the #1 spot by say 10 sales and yet 12 might have been sold this week where your family got theirs? You have already mentioned that it appears as if a few had been sold. I appreciate that you are trying to be flippant about this and to brush it off but I want you to understand also how a lot of us would be feeling reading your comments.

Kami, can you PM me with the exact place your Mum purchased her copy from? Thanks And if anyone else see's that it is for sale before Saturday April 26th, can you please PM me with the exact location? Thanks so much! At this stage it doesn't look like copies that are purchased before Saturday count towards the charts but we are looking further into it today.

Regardless of some people getting the album early, I think it'll be hard for Damien to get that No 1 spot the first week: Madonna's CDs always debut at No 1, whether they are good or not. A No 2 position would be fantastic for Damien! Then, as Madonna's sales start to tail off, Damo can then grab that No 1 spot off her, especially the week of Mother's Day.

Damien has competition next week, that's for sure..let's be optimistic and hope for the best possible debut! * screw Madonna*

wow, I must be totally missing things, but I've only been able to fly back and forth the last week. I wasn't aware at all of any links to the samples of the songs! That is tempting for sure but I'm going to hold on for all the surprises in one special audio-hit on Saturday so I can hear the album as a whole. I have nice memories of WWL waiting in the line at the store and buying on the big day then going home and playing it and hearing it for the first time. I've heard a couple of songs so far from Damien's official sites, and then live at the preview concerts so I'm incredibly excited by what I've heard so far, it's sounding beautiful! I'm hoping for good things for Damien with the release with the big media blitz about to happen, so hopeful too for Mother's Day that many many people will have his CD #1 on their shopping list. And then with an appearance on the Footy Show I also think a lot of blokes will get to see how appealing this CD will also be for them, the guys I talked about the new CD with are really enthusiastic about the songs included, and at the Vanguard the men in the audience really got into it. All good to see for Damien's music to reach as many people as possible for them to enjoy

I live in the country and have a limited number of outlets to buy from. Can someone tell me are Sanity or Big W ARIA accredited stores?
