Sanity and BigW are both accredited chris! Thanks Tina-I'll buy the CD on Saturday at one of those outlets. I hope you find it!! I know country stores can be a bit slow. I've found that Sanity usually has it on the day of release, but BigW can be almost a week behind release date!

Guys, I'm a bit worried about something... Sorry if this has already been answered, but I didn't read all of the thread - I'm on my aunt's computer on dial-up and it takes WAY too long. My mum pre-ordered CTW on the Sanity website for me (nice surprise! ) and I got an e-mail today to say it had been dispatched already, so does that purchase count towards the charts? I really wanted to do my bit towards getting D to #1 and now I'm afraid that it won't count at all... Do you know anything about that?

I've been reading some very lukewarm reviews for Madonna's new CD. Apparently she's given the production over to Timberland and Justin Timberlake, it's designed to get her chart success in the U.S, but she's sacrificed a lot of her individuality. I still say "Ray Of Light" is her best CD ever! Anyway, I'll be buying Damien's CD first, Madonna can wait a while.

Sunshine, you should start a Madonna Thread in the Music Discussion, in the Members area.

I just started a new job and I found out one of the partners here is a fan of Damien and has downloaded Where We Land. Furthermore, his wife is an even bigger fan and had bought both Winner’s Journey and WWL in the first week of release. So I asked him today if she had bought his new album yet, to which he said he wasn’t sure if she knew about it. After I told him she ought to get it (“this week, as we’re trying to get him to No. 1”) he said once she knows about the new album she will probably have it playing by the time he gets home tonight! I’ve bought three copies (one for me, one for a friend, and one for my Mum who I converted at Xmas –she watched the Winners Journey DVD over and over and loves him).

I went to a friend's 60th birthday. He requested no presents, just presence ;D so, of course i had to give him Damien's CTW. He'll love it and will no doubt go to the concert at Revesby because I wrapped it with a tour flyer Getting the next one tomorrow at westfield so i can enter the contest

Just my message for lovers of Damien's music (and especially our casual visitors to DLO): Hi Besides buying the album (from ARIA accredited stores) and encouraging others to as well, we can do a bit more to help get the word out about Damien's amazing work. How about requesting Damien's songs on your local radio? I'm thinking that with the huge sales of Catch the Wind (CTW) people are rediscovering Damien's previously released singles. So, we could be requesting ANYTHING previously released by Damien. But more useful for Catch the Wind, I thought we could target certain radio stations and request their studio recordings Damien did during his interview with them.Sorry, I don't have all the links. If there are any mistakes someone will let me know and I'll fix this - they were all over the place! Also, any missed interview songs. NSW - Sydney RadioMIX 106.5... "Wild World"... www.mix1065.com.au/ARNMix/requests/genrequest.asp ... Vega 95.3FM...... BILYW (8.5.08) www.vega953.com.au/site/music/workday_request_fest.aspx and/or also a message to the Music dept.: www.vega953.com.au/site/contact.aspx for the "Live, Breakfast Show version of BILYW". TodayFM 106.1... BILYW... can't request this - unless it's on their list but I tried on this form: www.2dayfm.com.au/shows/hot30/contactus2UE... with Tim Webster... Vincent... 702 ABC Sydney... ... Annie's Song and Vincent (1.5.08) www.abc.net.au/sydneyVIC - Melbourne radio:NOVA100... Wild World www.nova100.com.au/site/home.aspx (5.5.08) GOLD 104.3... www.gold1043.com.au/ARNClassic/index.asp VEGA 91.5 ... "Everybody's Talking at Me" (5.5.08) Dicko, Dave O’Neil and Chrissie Swan QLD - Brisbane4BC ... Annie's song4BH... "If"WA - Perth6PR Radio...on 6PR Breakfast Show... request any...they may play his music from his album (no live version for them) but they loved the album and played/mentioned some on the show ( Old Man, Annie's Song, BILYW, Time in a Bottle).
