I think the AFL talent scouts have recruited quite a few Tassie players. The guy who was on It Takes Two with Kate Ceberana is an AFL player originally from Tasmania. Ange a lot of the people where I live originally hale from Victoria and we're only about an hour away from the Vic. border. They've obviously brought their love of AFL with them. I would much prefer cricket any day.

The NRL footy show started here like 5 mins ago and I have already realised that it's just as stupid, rank and a lot more boring than the AFL footy show I so agree Ange! I had to keep switching over to other stations and steel myself to switch back throughout the hour till Damien finally came on. I felt nervous for Damien and even hubby said... "What? He's on the Footy Show?". Really ironic since D's really not the sporty type - and maybe Damien thought it was ironic too. But with all the defence force personnel feeling special tonight the crowd was in a supportive mood and ready to enjoy themselves. In a way I do agree with Mysterri, I felt Damien's styling of the song tonight - or maybe it was just the pace - seemed rather rushed. Quite different to when he tested it at the Vanguard. He sounded good but knowing about his cold this morning I could tell he was nursing his voice a bit and that would have made it quieter than they would've normally planned for. I loved the way they were rocking into it - Damien made it less a sad and soulful song and more a classic rock-ballad... yeah! It was a really exciting and good start to the promo campaign for the album and tour. Well done, Damien!

Yeah I don't want to change the channel in case I miss it, but it's a challenge not to

Has he been on yet for you Ange? He's on exactly one hour after the show starts. Fatty starts to say it's time for some music but then realises he forgot to give the latest footy results another unbearable 3-5 minutes!

Nuffy I agree, it was a different more rockier version than the acoustic style at the Vanguard tonight. I enjoyed hearing it a different way, love hearing different versions and the way Damien keeps evolving the arrangements of his songs I was so glad Eric Aranda was there adding his special playing to it again, and loved Paul Gray's additions, but I always like his keyboard style so I suppose that's not too surprising Lol, watching for an hour before seeing Damien was starting to send me a bit lol, all that blokey chit chat, but he is always worth it edit - OMG yes, how unbearable was that - Fatty said he's coming on, then we had to wait that extra few minutes more of footy results , lol

That was great. A little bit rocky. The crowd looked as though they were enjoying it so that's good. I think he was getting more into it more towards the end of the song

The audience was shouting "Bring on Damien, bring on Damien." I loved it.

I missed that part Mysterri Lol because I was groaning and moaning! I'm going to have to watch it again, right now, before hitting the pillow.

Thought D was a little nervous and softer(protecting his voice) initially. But as the crowd was rocking along and clapping seemed to become more relaxed and stronger. Loved the song and was great to see Eric and Paul ;D

Yay! I saw it..at 12.45am. Funny, I didn't think he sounded nervous, I just thought the sound was crap. His mike didn't seem right..it was way too soft and seemed not to be placed in the right spot. The studio is very echo-ey, and the band were too loud. However that being said, I really enjoyed the performance. ;D It's a great sing-along song, and the crowd loved it! The yelling for Damien!, Damien!both before and after was fantastic! and OMG!! how HAWT did he look in the black biker jacket??? Loved It! and the tight skinny black jeans, and dark tshirt and leather shoes! PHWOAR!!!!

Mysterri, like Nuffy I missed the calls in the crowd for Damien because I was wailing "nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!" when he almost came on then they stopped to go back to do the footy results - OMG lol - glad to see the crowd was calling for him to come on too!
