I was in Sanity today (but a different Sanity to the one I bought CTW from) and they had CTW at #7 and Carl at #3 - WTB. Madooooooooona was at #1. I considered moving CTW to #1 where it belongs but there were people watching and also I noticed that the #7 spot was right in the middle and the albums were very noticeable there. I then went into Target and CTW was sitting in the middle and standing out. There were 4 left but only 1 Madoooooona left so I covered that one up with a CTW. I also covered some other random album up with CTW at the top of the rack so it was right in front of people's faces when they walked past. Fingers crossed for CTW #1! But anywhere in the top 5 is still really good and I reckon since it's already gone gold it will be in the top 5.

The ARIA chart Top 40 singles are played on Sunday afternoon from 3 pm (I think) on the NOVA network. During this show they say what the top Albums are. That usually happens from 5 pm. Anywhere from 6 - 7.30 pm the charts are loaded onto the site. You have to check the date though in case the chart you are looking for is the week already gone. The chart involving Damien and Catch the Wind will be dated 05/05/08 (Monday). The website is www.ariacharts.com.auThe weeks sales are calculated from Saturday to Friday evening.

Fantastic news Shims! Damien never seems to sell many albums in my area and I don't know many people around here that like him, so it's good to hear that his album is selling well in other places. I reckon he will definitely get #1 or #2.

I was at Liverpool Westfields today getting another CTW so that I can enter the Ireland trip... and noticed that CTWwas in different positions for each of the stores. Virgin (Meyers) only 3 left had him at #2 (based on their own store's sales) , NV had him at #5 and had only 3 copies left. JB HI FI didn't have an order but said the album was selling really well - as did NV and Sanity. The staff all sounded surprised at this result but I wasn't. Target didn't have any chart numbering order and there were about 8 left. CTW was on a lower rack so I raised the pile to eyelevel (where Leona was . Things should pick up there now Thanks for the info Braffy. I'll take a look tomorrow. today.
