Lol if you give Jimmy one poor Eric  ... he's been waiting to see the littlies fly since the start of the tour  By the way I was not the only one drooling over Jimmy.....lets just say he also knows where we are staying....  and it wasn't me that as he walked past kept yelling out to him THE WATERMARK, THE WATERMARK!!! I just quietly introduced Miss H to Jimmy.... saying she found him an excellent guitar player and quite the nice young man....  At least I THINK that's what I said..... OMGGGGGGG talk about red cheeks and trust me I don't get embarrassed very easily...then Roxy shoves me over to him and says lets get a photo of you two together hee hee......and of course the first one didn't work out so we had to stand there and take another one hee heee heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee |

Ahhhhh….Another incredible night thanks to this incredible man! Gees, it was so long ago now and I’m so sleep deprived I can hardly remember much from the daze, but here goes…. Here I was thinking Damien wasn’t going to be on for ages until after the support act (what support act??) and then he walks casually onto stage just after 8 o’clock.Whoohooo!! (You know how you feel when Christmas comes early?? ) Others have described well what went on through the concert, so I won’t repeat any of that, just that he really was SO funny with the couple of references to the alleged “thong” he was wearing (yeah…right!!). Of course, there was the “always one in a crowd” to call out “keep going! Keep going!” when he took his jacket off.. (there must have been be quite a lot of s scattered through the audience, a good number male, too!) It was such a lovely show all round, I looked around a few times and there were all these couples – both young and old - sitting leaning against each other holding hands. It was generally SUCH a romantic feel to this concert, with “Beautiful” and its lovely intro, a REALLY shmexy version of “Baby I Love Your Way”….etc etc Then there was the Wicked Game fun with the audience…and another reference to the tight pants to “help” him sing the high note which was absolutely HILARIOUS….and I am SO pleased I managed to capture that bit of fun at least on video. The friend who I had dragged coerced encouraged to come along with me (one of the many who have given me heaps for being a fan…the same he who GROOOANNNNSSS when I go over to his place and insist we watch Damien on the big screen…) was just so totally forced to eat his words. He was RIGHT into it, clapping and laughing and awestruck at the sheer purity of Damien’s voice. (which really was in STUNNING form...who would have believed he had a cold?! ) At interval, he turned to me and said “Now I know why you are so gaga over him!!” And as soon as we got in the car to go home, he asks “Can we put Damien’s CD on???” YES!!!! *high fives and feeling VERY smug! * Damien you are an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT!! THAT WAS THE BEST NIGHT!! THANK YOU!!! |

Thanks Christyl for your coherant report ;D...and As Christyl has said, Damien really was on fire at this show, at one point while he was doing the "showoff" notes...I looked around the room and noticed the mirrors! a full border of them around the room ....I couldn't help but think that at any moment we were all going to be showered in glass! AMAZING! Baby I love your way was sooo schmexy! and Beautiful was totally gorgeous! I loved Everybodys talking and Wild World..and when Damien did Guitar Man with the Stairway to Heaven in it....I nearly died and went to Heaven!  Thank you sooo much Damien for a fantastic show ;D |
