OH, what a marvellous trip down memory lane!

You know, I was wishing only the other day that I had kept a video copy of some of these on my computer while they were still up on that site in the early days...(was it Behind Idol, or something like that?...all I know is, I couldn't find it any more...)

I wanted to ask somebody too, if anyone knows how to take a copy of these and put them on their computers? We have no idea how long these vids will last on the Idol site and it would be a shame to loose them all one day

Roxy, another option a tech friend told me about the other day...

Download the latest free version of Real Player, and every time you open a video on the web when you run your cursor over it, it brings up a little button on the screen saying "Download to Real Player". Click on that, and ...Voila!...it downloads to your computer and you can play it using Real Player.

He also told me that if you want to convert it from a Real Player file to other files you can do that, but I haven't tried doing that. I haven't made Real Player my default player, so its no problem for me to open it if I want to watch my videos.

You are correct there, Chris, Real Player (basic) is a free program ... I had forgotten about it. It is much improved from the earlier versions and should do the trick, Rox ;D
