I've finally watched all Christyl's videos It's a tough job, but hey, someone's got to do it 3 hours and it was worth it! Thanks for making smaller files Chris - then I could pick'n choose which to do as the bigger megaploads.
Very interesting discussions but I would've loved to have heard some more pitfalls of recording contracts. It was nice to see how the audience was really warm to him. I loved seeing Mark Seymour and Damien together - Hunters and Collectors is one of my absolute favourites.
Excellent framing and he really WAS looking right into your camera lense so many times, wasn't he? Were you the only one filming? Maybe he knows that lots of people are bound to watch it so he works with us... Damien didn't look uncomfortable at all with you filming him. Thank you Chris, you did a fabulous job.

I second that Oz, I felt like I was there for a wee minute or two. Chris I love the way Damien kept looking right at you while you were filming. It's fantastic that you were able to capture so much on video because I'm guessing that it wasn't filmed by the media at all. I'm sure Damien has enjoyed or will enjoy watching your videos when he has an hour or so to spare.

Thanks guys, I am really glad you are enjoying them. I only realised that there was one video I hadn't resized, that being where Damien is asked about the next album. I have resized it now and posted it in the front of the thread.

Nuffy, there were a few people with cameras out and flashes going off, so although I felt a little conspicuous, it wasn't too bad.

I have been doing some screencaps to try and get some good pics for graphics, and below are some of the nicest ones from just one video:

Bloody hell Chris, Damien is smiling right at you! ;D Thanks heaps for the screen caps. I'm thinking I may convert them into a colouring book (if you grant me copyright ). You know, just the outline of Damien and then the kids (us ) can go to work with our coloured pencils. Actually I've been thinking of publishing a Damien colouring book for a while now, I'm sure Jarvis and Jagger, along with our own kids and grandkids would love it. ;D

heeheee (in case anyone doesn't know me yet...) I wasn't having a whinge about 3 hours of Damien this morning ... did another 2 hours tonight sorting video files
... and I was wondering about others filming, Chris, cause Damien seemed to be looking at us you heaps of times as if there were no other video cameras around! Gorgeous screencaps btw.

Nuffy, I do remember that the festival people themselves seemed to have a camera set up at the sides to video most sessions.

Damien really is so incredibly lovely to people videoing or taking photos....I still laugh when I remember at Twin Towns when Oz jnr snuck up to the front and knelt down to get a pic...Damien spotted her, and literally stopped in mid sentence to pose!

Myst, of course you can use the pics...what a fab idea, a colouring book! (I my friends kids could sure have some fun with that... ) Can't wait to see it... ;D
