Ooops I just realised I've been posting in the wrong thread. I posted this below in the blog on the 9th May, so I'll put it here and delete the other one as it pertains to this blog not the other one.


They sure are having fun, It's a wonder any work is getting done!


I wonder if either of those songs we can hear on this blog will be on the album??? that last one sounds a bit like the Plastic Man, so we know that one isn't (if it's the same one). But I wonder about the other one? It sounds different to what we have heard so far.

OK being a quiet rainy Sunday I have been able to have another good listen to this blog and WOW, Damien has left us a treasure trove of clues in this one!

so... I thought it would be fun to itemise the songs I can make out on this blog (not including the antics ones, lol, just focusing on songs that actually sound like they could be ones Damien has recorded) and it turned into quite a list!!


Here's the list as it sounds to me, maybe we can all try to figure out some more of these lyrics as there are quite a few there I can't quite catch - it's fun having a go though!


Unidentified Song #1 (while Damien is speaking for the interview part)

*Has "ticking clock" sound, then lovely acoustic guitar lead-in, there's a lot of this song but I can't quite make out any lyrics Damien is singing


Unidentified Song #2 (With the Irish Dancing)

*Possible Lyrics:

after and the memories we hold dear and the (?)
there's confusion, it's the simple things we hold dear, oh

(ps - could songs #1 & 2 be the same song??)


Unidentified Song #3 (After Damien plays the bodhran and wags his finger to say this is isn't a laughing matter, lol)

*Tiny snippet of instrumental music (Have we heard it before on a previous blog??)


Unidentified Song #4 (With the "Delirious Dancing", lol) -

*we only hear a rhythm backing track as Damien dances (woo!! Damo groovin'! ) - not sure if it's a recorded track for a particular song or just a sound effect they came across in the studio while going delirious with cabin fever , but either way sounds it fantastic to me! (lol, well, it's the sort of thing that would get me dancing too )


Unidentified Song #5 - G playing guitar and Damien singing in the background out of shot, sounds very pretty, melodic

*There is quite a bit of this song but I can only really make out the lyrics at the very end, it sounds like D sings

Unidentified Song #6 (over end titles)

*Possible Lyrics:

He cries (in his sleeve?) cause he knows
with the bad comes the good then it goes


This will be fun when the album comes out to see just which songs we had previews of in the blogs!

OMG lol no Roxy, only a couple of times just stopped the vid each time there was a song so I could add to the list.

I'm loving the idea of seeing if we can figure which song is which as Damien throws us all these clues! I wonder what other ones we might hear as well in coming weeks!

My goodness Shims! I have had to go back & try to hear all these songs! Well it's pretty hard to hear some of them, so they could be anything. The one in the middle is the clearest but sound very different in style to the one's on earlier blogs and I think the one at the end with the credits could be the same Plastic Man one.

But it's so much fun listening and trying to figure it all out and when you write it all out like that it makes me want to go back and check again!
