OMG this is what I get for tinkering with pretteh all afternoon, I've gone and missed the single announcement!   Great news it's been announced and wow to be debuted in front of 40,000 in Brissie - wooo go it Damien, how exciting for you!!! Wow I was wondering if one of the ones that were played at both Lizottes would be the single, (To Get To You or Golden Line) So happy for Damien that his new single will be out soon, I hope it's a smash hit for him  |

It's a song of yearning, and pain  ..but has a wonderful upbeat latino? (Eric's influence?) flavour to it...and I would have been very happy if it had been chosen also.  Absolutely...wow how awesome would a major smash be??? The party would be HUGE!!  |

That's funny, considering he sang the new songs in this order: To Get To You Sorry Golden Line ;D  Don't worry Trilly, we forgive you (not that you did anything wrong, lol :  . I hope Golden Line will be the second single (that's if there is one, and that's if there aren't any better songs on the album). It's very catchy and I think it'd do well.  Re the latino thing - I remember at the beginning of 2008 when a few people had lunch with D, he said Eric would bring a latino feel to the shows that year ... did anyone get that vibe? I'm not really sure what sort of sound "latino" implies, although the sound was definitely different to the WWL tour (obviously, since the instruments were different). aww, thanks Spuddles. Geez, give a girl a break! Picky Picky!  I couldn't remember the order..and had had a red vino or two. I suppose you're right. I don't recall much latino influence during the last tour..except of course La Bamba!  ;D Latino refers to Spanish/ Portuguese speaking peoples..especialy from Central and Sth America and Eric is from Argentina, isn't he?..or Chile?? no, I think the former is correct. Fiery music, great beats..LOTS of guitar! ;D |

Hoping D is given a few opportunities to deliver his single to many groups of population ;D.....especially on TV....so people sit up, take notice and get excited....my friends from Lizottes are already wanting to buy ;D

"To Get To You" - is this one some of you have already heard?? Isn't it wonderful with all the hype just beginning!  I've resisted listening to any of the new songs.. I want to have a big surprise next this week!! Yeeeeeeeeeeehar!  Me too Tina - other than the snippets in the studio blogs I haven't heard any of the new songs So pleased for D that the single has been chosen at last and can't wait to hear it in all it's glory |

It's been stuck in my head all day! ;D ;D ;D It has a great momentum - is that the right word? - it has a great progression to it. And right from the start it grabs you - the vocals in the opening, the many layers of sound... it's such a big sound, and Damien's voice is the definite focal point. It's so catchy - I can imagine myself driving with it playing, it's a really fun song |
