The Club's had a bit of work since I was last there and the dining area was great, and the waitress mentioned it was all new.....but I fell in love with the ladies room there ;D
auto everything...or nearly and looked 'new'
Didn't really need the navb****, but felt she should earn her keep after I was held up with roadworks just outside of Toronto(for 15 mins) andshe'd tried to send me 3other places I hadn't put in (and never have
)).......anyway met up with Braffy just inside and after we signed in were told we had to wait till 7:00pm to collect the tickets...so we ate first and didn't finish till 7:50pm...so collected the tickets and went in after we had a chat with George, who was going out as we went in.....
Noticed that the audience was predominantly older, but there was a scattering of younger ones ;D
Oh yes, after DB they did Toss the Feathers too
Actually have been lucky to see Kevin at Penrith and Mingarra, he's certainly wicked on the Bodhran....great fun ;D
Yup Braffy that wardrobe report was great......the bling was studs ...someone
opened up his jacket for a better look (the cheek) and also rubbed the lippy off his cheek
....I digress
Now Eric on the other hand
had forgotten his trousers
and (according to Damien) had no undies on.....He and Diana were having a romantic stay on the Central Coast....could be coincidence
;D. So Eric was in sporty Tracky Dacks
Damien did the talk about working out and his buns of steel.....hmmmmm the buns and guns
Talked about baby sitting earlier and how much work was involved in keeping the boys entertained and that's why he needed to work out to improve his fitness level and threw in a line about tossing one boy around in each hand (Eric wanted to see that
) haha and D said you'd be surprised....we agreed
we would ..... Another funny line was When the guns come out to play ;D which cracked me up..... especially after it was decided that Damien was 'full of it' Also mentioned the new Novel and its release on April 1 and what it wa briefly about before he introduced Beautiful
As he turned to walk to the piano a lady at the next table called out that she could see his buns of steel
and D gave that cheeky laugh
He then started talking about the Studs back in County Kildare (but was sitting at the piano this time) so I walked to the stage and placed the shiny red bag on the floor........Damien decided he had to have a look and Eric said I smell a stud in there
The sign on the outside read 'this is large' and D pulled out the boxers and showed us his 100% Stud boxers
which Eric was coerced (this better mean a pay increase) into wearing over his trackpants
Before Guitar Man he talked about working as a barman and musician and being the only one there and so kept having a drink and was absolutely plastered by the time he left
Apparently Indi and Eric were a little surprised when they did the entire Stairway to Heaven, but musically did a fantastic job and the audience were very enthusiastic in their applause for it....
Even though D didn't hit the high Nooooooo in TGTY, he made up for it in the second half by beginning with a 'you could hear apin drop' rendition of Crying...Before TNC he was asking for requests and I suggested Fall at Your Feet and Damien pretended he heard a call for Violent Femmes
yeah right!!
He then played a few chords of I know not what, had a giggle and said nooo.
Braffy and I did a couple of standing ovation....1 after Crying and then at the end and I noticed a few over to our right also stood up and applauded.
At the end of the show I ducked into the ladies (no not the one I loved
) and Braffy was chatting with the lady next to her....actually that lady chatted for some time about Melbourne I think and I was trying to work out a missing name for one of the instrumentals, so after Braffy's friend left ;D....I had grabbed a set list and was trying to find the missing number....I was standing with my back to the stage when we heard a familiar voice....this was when D obtained the lipstick on his cheek
and we explained what we were trying to work out....Indi had introduced them to Kesh(sp) as even D wasn't sure how it was spelt. We discussed a couple of songs left off and Damien explained how he'd been sick the last few days and was watching his voice, so it's case of deciding what he thinks it can take ....I think Sky and For All of Time came into the maybe not category.
Yes Damien is judging the floats before he flies out to Ireland and comes back into Perth. We talked about Revesby and the large group going and also how Adam will be on keyboard at the Brass Monkey ;D
Had also had chat with George about the sales and he was pretty pleased, especially with the sales at the interval.
Must add was happy to arrive home as the semis scare me a little on the Freeway, but it's a case of keep up or......you're driving in pitch black
