Wow, thats excellent, what a great way to get Forgive forget out there, did they have a reference to the song printed on the screen so that everyone knew who it was?

My friend's mum saw the FF video on Rage on Saturday and from the lyrics and what was going on in the video, she thought that the song was about death. :-\ I think maybe because Damien was lying down the whole time (as though he was dying? :-\) or maybe because she thought the ink blots looked like blood? (I dunno ... just guessing.)
Anyway, I told my friend what the song is actually about. according to D's intro on bandit.fm (i.e. a kid thinking that their father is a hero, but then as the kid gets older, he notices his dad's flaws more and sees him in a different light) ... and then it occurred to me that the video doesn't really follow that story at all. :-\ Did anyone else notice this? I wonder why that is...? :-\

Unless you know the story and the connection with the book the clip wouldn't mean anything and I agree would be difficult to understand. Having said that, there should have been more effort in the making of the video to interpret Damien's true meaning of the song. Maybe the budget just wouldn't allow that.

I wonder about that Glawz, 'the budget thing' maybe they allocate a certain amount to each performer, considering some go o/s to make film clips for their songs and seem to go to extreme expense to make the videos look fantastic, or are they funding them themselves, ( I doubt it) I'd be curious to know how they work it out really

a video is made to help sell a song and my understanding is the cost of a video whether small or large (same with all other label costs) is recouped by the label before/from artist profit
