Someone wrote on Twitter how Damien had let himself go and had the #Logies symbol next to the tweet. I wrote back and said that Damien wasn't even at the Logies, that he was performing at Mackay in Queensland. I received a reply today along the lines of having a joke that K D Lang was singing Hallelujah.

I like KD's version, but prefer Damien's. JB's is still THE best though, to my mind..with D's a very close second...especially the recent iTunes version.

I'm with you Trilly, I like KD Lang's version, but REALLY like (and prefer) Damien's and JB's. I think I like Damien's a bit more than JB's, just because I'm so used to it , but yeah, they're both good. I still haven't heard D's recorded version, but the live version is awesome, so I bet the recorded version is too. ;D (Although I assume the recorded version doesn't have Sleepwalk? Which I'm used to hearing, so that would be kind of weird.)

I saw the FF ad heaps of times last night during the Logies. They played it during pretty much every ad break. One of them was an ad for NRL, then there were some comedy ones and I think Underbelly. Most of the ads had the FF cover and D's name and the title down the bottom for at least a second, so that was cool. I assume quite a lot of people watched the Logies (although I haven't seen the viewers/rankings info or anything), so that's good exposure for D and the song.

For a second I thought you girls meant FF was actually played AT THE LOGIES! I watched the whole show and thought I must of been deaf lol
But Yes, I heard FF on the ad's heaps of times, it was a lovely sound to my ears!
I reckon it would of been a good promo thing for D as well, hoping a lot of people watched it.

K D Lang did a great job of the song, but Damien wins best version HANDS DOWN! no matter what Not because I'm biast But because I seriously reckon he does do the best verson

To me both Jb and Damien's version are by far the best of any that I have heard.

Wife has JB first but I prefer Damien but both are outstanding.

Still love Damien's version not the sleppwalk though that part really annoys me.
The recorded version is very beautiful.

I feel the same as you all. I don't like K.D. Langs version at all. I would much rather Damien sing it. They should have had him on instead.

Yeah, I heard it too, Braffy. And it was also shown a couple of times during Two and a Half Men and/or The Big Bang Theory. I hope D's getting royalties everytime they show that ad.

Wow, lots of times tonight - that's GREAT!! I was hoping it'd be more than the other promo. Instead of royalties, I'd be happiest for D if it gives the radio music directors the message that it's a really cool song to play on their station. Maybe even get people asking stores to stock the album and buy the physical & digital songs. Now THAT's what I'm hoping for

That's great that FF has been playing during the Logies... I didn't watch it so didn't know.
I have about 8 versions of Hallelujah and Damien's is by far the best..... btw I don't like the sleepwalk in the middle of the live version either... I think it takes away from the beauty of the song and singer, just doesn't fit if you ask me. His new version on the single is just heavenly... sends shivers down my spine and tears to my eyes it's so gorgeous.

When we were visiting my SIL she told me she is having KD Lang's version played at her funeral. I said Damien's version was nicer in my opinion (she hasn't heard him) but it wasn't the time or place to push it - her funeral, her choice

I heard the Ch 9 Forgive Forget promo recently too..and nearly jumped outta my skin! : Freakin AWESOME to hear it, especially with the credit graphic being displayed...even DD2 said "Hey, that's Damien's song isn't it? That's my fave off the album, Mum" ;D Boy was I chuffed! bwhah!
