How have you been? and what's been happening in your part of the world? any News?

A large group of us are going to the Brass Monkey shows this month and I'm just wondering if there was any chance we could have a "request Night" (keeping within the Acoustic theme of course)?

This is turning out to be one of the BIGGEST Damien-get-togethers in history so please don't expect a quiet weekend!


I'm going to throw a request out there anyway, and everyone else can add a song they would like to hear also if they wish.


My request would be.... Golden Line on Piano!!

Golden Line and See You Again were my favourite songs at State Theatre, so I'd really love to hear either of those. I remember people saying Golden Line sounds awesome on piano, so it'd be awesome to hear that.

Ooh, and I've never heard acoustic Creep, so that'd be cool.

I love all the above mentioned songs, but 'The Parting Glass' from the Adelaide show really made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
I'd settle for 'Rocky Road to Dublin' or 'The Auld Triangle' in it's place, especially the former which has amazing run on lyrics and must require some great breath control.

Golden Line and Stay are definitely on my wish list too, as well as Plastic man, which I adore. Would love to hear The Parting Glass also.. and anything new would be awesome. ;D

Anyways, I think you know what I will be shouting out I do it at every show and you seem to just look at me and smile and go "Nah"

I know it's not the same with the full band etc, but even if you sang a verse I would be in heaven and very happy

well it is pretty obvious to me that if you don't sing 'Golden Line' on both nights there might be a mutiny.

Both nights would be lovely because unfortunately not eveyone is able to make it on both nights.

Some will only be there Friday and a few more can only be there Saturday, so please please please sing 'Golden Line' on both nights.

In fact, I would love to hear you introduce it by saying "This is my next/new *insert word of choice* single - Golden Line
I love all your music so as much of Remember June that you can do will be brilliant.


I have a special request for Lizotte's Kincumber on the 14th August. Please, *begging here* play 'Goodnight'.
