We had a lovely night out with a lovely man tonight!! Too tired to post much more tonight, I will write a full report tomorrow, but just loved the Irish show - the Van Morrison numbers were standouts for me!! Tried to get more out of Damien about his album..... but all very top secret, and exciting!! He has been in Nashville recording and will head back there soon ~ but he said it wasn't a country album! Sounds fantastic Tina! Really looking forward to hearing all about the setlist and very excited to hear which Van Morrison songs were included! Have a great time this weekend at the other shows too!

Tina obviosly hasn't had time to check back in, so I'm sure she will make a double report after tonight's Ravenswood show. He was just looking lovely of course , only he and Eric tonight, Tina has a full list of songs but there was a mix of old and new and some very silly irish songs which were a lot of fun. Sang a couple of Van Morrison, but surprisingly, no U2, but I think that will change over the weekend. He did his usual classics, that everyone wants to hear. I requested SKY and he wasn't sure he could remember it as it's been so long, but of course he did it beautifully Thanks to Tina for telling the restaurant owner that we were from his Fan Club, when she booked So we had the front table. And Sitting with Tina got me officially on Damien's DLO radar ;D so I got the DLO welcome hug from him at the end of the night . Poor thing, it was 2am his time by the time our Perth show fiinished at 11pm :I will leave Tina to repot further and I will report to you all on the Sat and Sun shows

So sorry I didn't get back to finish my report...... I literally fell in to bed, woke up late, went to work, then rushed home got showered then went out to see Damien again........ not a bad two days work!! ;D OK, setlist from Friends: (sorry that I won't get the Irish song names right ) Moondance O Lassy Go (that's the words in the chorus, I think) Blower's Daughter Crazy Love Carrick Romeo & Juliet NOML 22 Steps Sky Annies Song 7 drunken... Danny Boy Rocky Road to Dublin Creep Why Worry Wicked Game with Kiss! Hallelujah It was a fab setlist, and I just loved the two Van Morrison Songs, plus the Why Worry (Mark Knoffler sp?) & Romeo & Juliet. Damien asked for requests from the crowd half way thru and that's when Debra asked for Sky (which was gorgeous!!), a few other requests after that one... see setlist.... then I asked for Wouldn't Change a Thing, but he said that it was too hard so I asked for Creep instead which he said was harder, but he sang anyway!! It was gorgeous!! As Debra said, we had a fantastic table, right in front of the stage about a metre in front of Damien, almost an island on our own there in the crowd! The venue and the crowd were very refined, and fairly quiet...... it's the first even I have been to where there has been no demand for an encore , but I know the show was enjoyed by all! There was a short signing after the event which was once again a quiet and dignified affair (even with us present!!) and we had a nice little chat, cuddle and photo! ;D

Thanks for the reports ladies. Moondance O Lassy Go (that's the words in the chorus, I think) Blower's Daughter Crazy Love Carrick Romeo & Juliet NOML 22 Steps Sky Annies Song 7 drunken... Danny Boy Rocky Road to Dublin Creep Why Worry Wicked Game with Kiss! Hallelujah Looking at that set list, I'm imagining a wonderful gig! "Carrick Fergus" is a fave Irish song of D's and he sings it beautifully, plus "Romeo and Juliet" and "Why Worry!" ..and The Blower's Daughter!..and Creep!..man, just the whole set!.. (except AS, haha) and "Moodance" and "Crazy Love" Hooley dooley! Truly sounds like an awesome night, some of my fave songs there. I hope the audience realised how lucky you guys were to hear these songs together! Keep at him for the U2 won't ya? oh and I think the first song is "Go, Lassie go"
