In my dreams Deb. Exhausted the fund going to Sydney but putting some cash away each week for the next round which will probably be Sydney again... won't be enough in the kitty by November to fit in Perth, specially so close to Christmas. I'm sure we'll catch up again however. You are so lucky to have three shows.. enjoy.

OK, here I am to finally report on the 4th and last of Perth shows at the Oxford Hotel. Small venue and small crowd I don't think there was much advertising for this, unless you were in the hotel prior to the show. I just wanted to run up and down the local streets bashing on doors telling everyone to come down to their "local"and see this guy sing. Anyway enough of what could have been not in order the set list went something like this hallelujah If wicked game crying Sweet dreams baby (Roy Orbison?) Nessun Dorma 22 steps Rocky Road to ... Chilean Folk song Guitar Man Beautiful Danny Boy Everybody's talking Annie's Song (or are all the shows starting to blur together?) Damien was looking remarkably fresh 8-)but I'm sure he must have been exhausted. Then there was Eric !!! Apparently a huge early hours at Telethon with the 'Home & Away" guys and I quote "That Carbo guy (Packed to the Rafters) never stops" Well he was very much worse for wear Running on auto pilot!! My sister requested 'Message to my girl'and after much discussion D decided to do this one. A couple of lines in and Eric couldn't remember it (much to my sisters disappointment ) so he ended up doing Nessun Dorma, an equally brilliant option Managed to grab the front and Centre seat again. Much to the embarrassment of some of my 9 "friends" some of who chose a table further to the back, but my nearest and dearest kept me company in the front Unfortunately, with no merchandise left to sell, he did not make an appearance after the show and I'm told he was seen at the closing of Telethon so they must have rushed in there and then straight off to the airport. Phew! I was disappointed as I would have liked to show him off to my friends. But I am pleased to say that later on at home I thanked D (on Facebook ) for the show and he responded personally to that so I am a happy girl I really wish I had taken my daughters (10 & 6). I thought about it, but thought they were not allowed in the hotel. But there was another young girl there, and it would have been perfect, as it was an early show! definately next time.

I meant to comment on Sweet Dreams Baby. I have been thinking lately about what other Roy Orbison song that Damien might pull out of the air. He has already done Crying (brilliantly) and In Dreams (equally as brilliantly ~ as you have heard at the Brass Monkey). Roy Orbison songs suit Damien perfectly.

Sounds like such a fun one, love the pub gigs, glad you got a great spot at the front. Lol at Eric's big night with Carbo Damien must have been exhausted too with all those shows and such a big weekend, don't know how he does it all and still sings in top form. Fantastic report Deb, thank you!

Shame about the crowd Deb.....I've found posters in suburbs help here, but we no longer get them and a bit of PR in the local press helps too .... still that's up to the venue I guess Sounds like you had a great time and wow!! Sweet Dreams!!! ;D Yup he does Roy so well Glad Beautiful is still hanging in there love it Sounds like they were running on exhausted at the end...those Telethons are fairly damaging to the health Thank you so much Deb for giving us a lovely report....would love to hear what your friends thought too ;D

All of my friends really enjoyed the show. My sister had been to one other show and one workmate has been to 2 previous shows, and she said she will alway come with me in the future. She just loves the Irish in him . One young girl from work (20 yrs old) said "I was amazed how many songs I knew , just from working with you" - we play quite a bit of D's music at work :, but if I was the boss.....! I will try to work out how to post some pics from all three shows

So glad you had a wonderful time Deb. No doubt it will have to last for a while! That's the sad part, (don't want to sound negative) but you look forward to it for so long and them suffer withdrawal symptoms!! It was a fantastic set list again, thanks for the report.
